started watching your videos 4 months back, i must say this 4 months is the best period of my life. my views on personal finance took a u turn towards right direction. 1. didnt have term insurance (instead paying 1.5 lpa on endowment and ulip policies, not sure whether to continue or stop these) 2. didnt have emergency fund 3. had huge bad debts 4. no investments other than pf. i assume i have gained minimum safe Fin knowledge by knowing where i am and what to be done immediately, Also a plan without an action is a mere wish hence completed step 1. Took 1c pure term insurance (per your video). working on steps 2 & 3. Thank you so much for this enlightenment...

As usual you nailed it, I would like you hear your view on the topics of value investing, margin of safety, buying at distressed times ,etc I am not expecting a market crash but something on individual stock level, for instance Amazon stock has taken a beating today. I am investing through M1 finance and included vti as a major portion on the pie and doing a weekly SIP, but also trying to experiment with Robinhood too.

Individual stocks - they all have their rough days. I would not worry too much about one day movement from a quarterly result. I would worry more about whether the business is progressing as we expected or not. Value investing is a difficult topic as it is very personal subjective. Hard to generalize it. I will see what I can come up with.

How about investing lumpsum in a short term debt fund and doing a STP to invest in the equity fund over a period of time, say 6 months?
