After 37 years of working for NYCTA and retiring, Now spending 6 months of the year in New Orleans and finding the soul of Nola in instruments of brass. Seeing this Krewe belting out music like this in the Subway on 34th St brings a smile to my face and warms the heart. Living upstate NY the other 6 months with occasional forays into the Big Apple, I’m reminded of why a big part of my heart will always belong to NYC. Great performance peeps! Rock On! 👍🏻🍻❤️😎

Cupla things: firstly, thank you. NYCTA workers are, by far as a group, the best and without a doubt, the most underappreciated. For years I used to play on the streets and in the subways. These guys are a whole new level of entertaining. In New Orleans, the guys to see are Tuba Skinny.

I have listened to the original version of this same mashup by Lucky Chops at least a hundred times in the car with my kids. Lucky Chops is our go to band for car trips and this one is often requested. My youngest has recently taken up sax, bi doubt partly due to his love of lucky chops. Just browsing youtube today and this one pops up and I need to stop everything I am doing and watch this new version. 3 Bari's in one band!!! I am a trombone player and have always admired the way he plays.

why aren’t top notch talented individuals/bands like these getting the spot light in the music world instead of shake and bake manufactured “bands” who all happen to be model like in appearance and have almost zero musical talent other than doing blue steel at the camera and knowing how to use autotune . I would pay good money to see these guys or similar. Actual peformers .

@@pusheen_playz7172 because no one should ever have three Barry's in a single room for any reason. Plus no one can make money off of brass instruments. Music is dead.
All of the talent here is AMAZING!! Those trombone bits, though? Literal goosebumps every time!! A+!!!

I just read this as i was listening, and then immediately experienced his solo at 2:10 and got hit with the best goosebumps
Don't forget the percussions. A good percussionist can make or break a band. He lays the foundation they can groove on.😊
How do you not love these guys?

We saw Too Many Zooz live in Edmonton - easily the most fun of any live music act or concert I've been to. Maybe not the best venue or the biggest crowd, but the most fun, for sure.

If I'm ever on my way to work and Lucky Chops are playing in the subway, I will absolutely be late to work.
The sound from that Sousaphone is just soooo incredible!!!
First time I ever saw a Trombone take the lead. Well done lad! 🎉

Props to the sousaphone player! Way to hold it together and bring the bass.

If Leo P is back, Lucky Chops will absolutely eat the Soul Rebels and Hot 8. I mean, both brass bands are extremely talented but not this level.

Pointdexter blowing out the crap of his trombone was amazing! Three Bariton saxophones (wich I play myself, but not like that) duelling each other -WOW The whole group made my day!!!
This isn’t *just* Lucky Chops. It’s LC, plus Too Many Zooz, plus Moon Hooch. It’s Lucky Moon Zooz. Too much funk!

THE FIRST TIME I SAW & HEARD LEO P ON KZread I WAS HOOKED. And since then I’ve been enjoying everything he does, congrats to anyone who joins up with Leo p….. I love you guys, you are breaking new ground in music. I’m 67 and my children and their friends love it too (some still confused, but they all will eventually admit it’s some hot stuff) KEEP IT UP! More people need to see Leo P, and his associate performers. I’m doing what I can to help in that regard.😂❤😂❤😂
The amount of feeling they all have for each other is just energizing. Just all looks so natural and easy.
This is how I found out about Lucky Chops. I'm glad they're still playing for the masses in public spaces. Unfortunately, I've never seen them play live but I can imagine how the vibes of those horns would penetrate body and soul.

Saw them at the Minnesota State Fair in 2019. Amazing performance, could have only been better if Leo P had been there
I know the main thing of this should be the 3 bari saxes with LEO P of all people but that trombone POPS OFF, ESPECIALLY during the Funkytown bit WOW.
Leo P's back in town!
The acoustics are so good in subways. Love this.❤
Thank you for capturing this in 4K horizontally! 😅 The low-res, vertical stream did not cut it for me. 😶 3 Baritone saxophones playing at such high energy is wonderful madness! 🤪
The trombone and trumpet, on the sidelines, killed it!
In these hard times we need this sort of music .Feel good factor wow

I have listened to the original version of this same mashup by Lucky Chops at least a hundred times in the car with my kids. Lucky Chops is our go to band for car trips and this one is often requested. My youngest has recently taken up sax, bi doubt partly due to his love of lucky chops. Just browsing youtube today and this one pops up and I need to stop everything I am doing and watch this new version. 3 Bari's in one band!!! I am a trombone player and have always admired the way he plays.
Absolutely killer! Love the triple-bari attack, but the whole group just slays!

I'd never to get to work if I had to take the subway to my job when there's talent like this playing everyday! What a performance!
That was amazing. I cant even imagine how much spit will pour out of that hot trombone after this epic performance!;) Now i want a trombone and a baritone sax.
So great to see Leo P back with LC!!! Insane energy!
The vibes are off the charts, they have all the rizz
Boss: Why are you late? Me: I missed my train because of a kick ass band playing Funky Town at the station. Boss: ‘Nuff said.
The guy on the trumpet made it for me Big smiles ✌✌😂

Saw them last night in Asbury Park at Stone Pony... First time. Went way beyond our expectation. Loved every moment of the show... So infectious.
Eons back I had the pleasure of walking past them in the subway. Missed my train home that night cus of em. Happy to see they got more and more air time. Saturday night it was my extreme pleasure to be in attendance at the Stone Pony for their Lucy Moon Zooz tour. What a banger of a show. Nothing quite like what I have been to elsewhere. They ripped for us for 3 hours. I hope they go huge and go far. And uh, they need to charge more for a ticket. :D
HELLA MAD! respect. Been a REALLY lllllooooonnnnnnnggggg time since a band made my world wiggly! The fervor of this lineup!! Three baritone sax players and two drummers, for real!!! Trombonist had the energy of an electron bouncing around in a pi orbital. Trumpeter RIPS! MARVELOUS Alto Sax and Sousaphone!! Lucky Chops come to Baltimore, hon.
Damn it. I had to move to Connecticut about 5 months ago from NY where I lived til the ripe old age of 59 years old. This is what I definitely miss the most about NY, riding on the subway to and from work and running into fantabulous, unbelievably talented musicians just like these beautiful individuals. I wanna go back so damn bad. NY will always be where my heart is.
Bro the Bari players are always competitive I swear
There is one jazz recording of the four baritones….it’s almost impossible to find baritones jamming together. This is great

Amazing!
i've never seen horn players move this much - they're amazing!! brilliant medleys/arrangements!!
You know what's the coolest thing about them? The fact that the guys play the music for their own pleasure, without puffing up only God knows what. Full of spontaneity! And we feel it, and that's why listening to them is so pleasant.
So fun! ❤
