So cool seeing your own guitar in the video. Awesome job on the guitar and all the attention to detail… learn something new each time I watch one of your videos. Loving the new Papa Het 11-50 strings… make a big difference with the heavier palm muted Metallica songs. Thanks 👍

Agreed!… Steve did my Torino Gretsch last week and my Ibanez artcore hollow body before that. It’s great to have someone so close to home!

why would changing gauge of strings make the action lower. that makes no sense to me? the nut still has the same height no matter what strings are on it unless the nut isn't cut right and the fatter strings sit high and don't touch the bottom of the groove. that's the only way it makes sense?? i get higher gauge string have more tension and bend the neck more causing higher action but yeah. you just need to adjust the truss rod is all. never heard this from anyone before. can you explain this theory of yours to help me understand what your talking about? thanks man. love the guitar, would like to get one someday.

I should say that changing to a different gauge string could cause fret buzz due to a different amplitude, which a neck relief adjustment can usually fix... however, by the time the lighter gauge string gets to the 12th or 17th fret (where you take your string height measurements), it will be lower than the heavier gauge string, in my experience.

Hello, thank you for the video. Perhaps you now have information regarding which specific TUSQ model will fit an LTD Snakebyte? Initially, I considered the 6642-00 as my first choice for a replacement, but I now have some concerns about its dimensions. It appears that the 6143-00 might be a suitable alternative, although I'm also wondering if the 6943-00 or the 6060-00 would fit. Your insights are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You just need to take careful measurements and choose the one that will fit best- I often buy 2 or 3 versions and use the best fit
