I've got the Graph Tech String Saver Saddles on my 2019 Squier Tele along with a Graph Tech nut. Made all the difference in the world!!! Graph Tech nut on my 2017 Epiphone Les Paul Standard Pro as well ! Absolutely NO tuning issues on either guitar!

Thank you for this, i have an LTD EC256 and im struggling to find the right drop in replacements for the bridge,tailpiece and locking tuners. Kudos to graphtech for this video, very educational

Yeah I couldn't remember if it was the 42mm or 43mm nut for the 256. I'm so tired of my D,G, and B strings binding in the nut. I also put 9's on my guitar to get around the fact that the nut was a little too high. I can't take it anymore lol.

I wish I bought this part way sooner. I only had to sand the bottom edges a little bit to clean them up. No more binding! I didn't need to touch the slots even though they are just a hair high, but it is worlds better. I also didn't expect how well this really cleaned up the tone of the guitar. It sounds so much more articulate.

Be aware: The Graph Tech nut 6642 does not fit LTD Guitars. I have an MH-1000, H-1000 and an EC-1000 and on all of them the nut sits too low.

Im rekindling playing guitar after 8 years of not playing. I gave up having a cheap Squier knock off with bad electronics. Getting an ESP EC10 with an orange 20w amp. Should I put EMG Active 81/85 combo pick ups

So on my EC 10 which is the Vietnamese made guitar it could be the nut causing dead on tuning issues? I was gonna buy some locking Grovers on it in hopes that it' fixes it but now I'm hearing the nut I'm concerned about even bothering with it. I can change tuners but I've never taken on something like the nut. That might be a little out of my wheelhouse.

In dire need of a replacement nut for my LTD MH-17; will the PT-6748-00 fit it without making me want to jump off a bridge?

Which particular model are these parts recommended for?

The nut recommendation for my ec-10 is wrong. It's too short, I wish I would have checked myself, but I figured I could trust a video from the manufacturer.

@@coleroland313 yep man, e to e spacing was fine, overall width was good. It was way to short to be drop in like every other graphtech preslotted but I've bought. I'm mad I got bad advice straight from the company.

Would be nice to have 7 string inline lefty/reverse headstock locking tuners, can't find them on the website

I'm about to buy the Nut for my LTD-ec-1000 guitar, do I need it in white so if the TUSQ XL 42 x 6 mm works? I am from Germany so I will place the order and I can not have a fault, help !!

Don't get the Tusq XL 6642 nut..I just bought a brand new ESP LTD EC 1001 Tiger Eye..basically the same guitar specs as yours and tried the 6642 on mine yesterday..the string spacing is perfect,but its a little short like lots of others have said,so the 6143-43mm nut will be just right..its tall enough to be lightly sanded on the bottom to get the right height and sand it on the sides to get that down to the 42mm nut size..I wish I would have just ordered the 6143 in the first place but it going to be perfect when I get finished with it..the specs on the 6143 shows the E to E string spacing at 35mm//1.378" which is just a hairs width wider..I took my digital calipers and put them on the fretboard by the nut and its going to be perfect...get the 6143 and do it right the first time !! I did install the Graph Tech Ratio tuners on mine yesterday, and WOW what a huge improvement !!

Actually the only mods I see my new EC-1000 requiring -- at this time at least -- are the electronics. The pots are typical "small pots" seen in so many cheap guitars and the toggle switch feels like there's sand in it...

What nut replacement for EC 256?

Here a link to some videos on finding and installing the right nut, saddles, etc... www.graphtechtorial.com/ or take a few measurements ... length and string spacing (center of the low E slot to the center of the High E slot)... ESP's are pretty standard on the thickness, and contact support@graphtech.com

Will the PT-6642-00 fit a LTD Snakebyte ?

Hi, We don't have the exact specs for your model... but the PT-6642-00 does work on other models of ESP and Schecter, to be sure, if you can measure the length and thickness and send your questions with those measurements to support@graphtech.com they can get you the model...

How about electronics?

I have a brand new esp ltd ec - 1000fr qm violet shadow that my awesomely cool wife gifted me with from ( just in case you wanna look at it ) sweet water and it’s a sweet water exclusive but it came with ltd sealed tuners instead of the esp locking tuners that SW specs list said it would have and that didn’t sit right with me yeah yeah I know folks say that’s not a big deal but for me a family man that can’t just hand over a grand on a guitar at anytime I wish that’s a huge deal so I want to replace the sealed tuners with some locking tuners and my hardware is what esp calls cosmic black or cosmic smoke I think with the tulip style tuning keys … so can you please tell me the code to the set I need … thanks … GOD BLESS !!!

Unfortunately locking tuners would be redundant as your instrument already has a locking nut. This is precisely why ESP offers the tune-o-matic version of the instrument with locking tuners but Floyd Rose version without. In addition, Graph Tech does not offer any “cosmo black” or “gun metal” finished tuning machines. That said, you could always get our pure black tuners if having 2 different locking mechanisms works for you. Check out the PRL-8341-B0.

6642 will not work on LTD Viper 256, it is too short
