I had ls1 motor and my mods were big gt cam headers exhaust and good air filter with tune I gained heaps of top end but with these mods came problems my auto trans blew under 1 week and car needed servicing more often basically money money money :)

Where can I get this cam for my 2008 c6? Do I need to buy any other supporting mods?

My guess is either a 2013 super sonic blue zr1 or a 2012 Carlisle blue z06. Even if it’s neither, 1of 12 is badass whatever it’s gonna be. 👍🏻

It doesn’t seem like you guys respond to questions very often, but I’ll though a couple out there. First, I always see you guys dyno tuning for WOT, but never any part throttle tuning (on the street). Who is that addressed? Next what plugs do you guys use on the C6Z’s? Same ones for H/C builds as you use in the stock(ish) builds like this fixed heads build? Good stuff guys, keep it up! Thinking about making the 7 hour drive to have you do mine too!

Cars get street tuned by Fran, I would have to go out in the car for awhile and miss things going on in the shop and there is no defining before and after like the dyno so it's just not needed film wise.

What kind of gains from longtube headers would a heads and cam z06 get??

Jeez must be 50, always start with headers as far as know. I have a 15 camaro. Gained 56 from headers, intake, tune then couple years later gained another 55 from a cam. Stock heads still

New to the Ls stuff. what’s the highest sbe naturally aspirated HCI Ls3 you’ve guys done? is 550whp a realistic expectation?

I believe so but I think you would have to stroke it and have every other mod on top as well. Naturally aspirated right?

Can meth compensate for low octane gas (advertised higher)? You pull into a station and there's only 91 or you get 93 and it's really 91.

Our customers always have multiple options. We will always sell prochargers, Whipple, magnusons, But for C6Zs we almost always use the AA kit.

Easiest way to piss Fran off is to turn off the MIL's. I remember in one episode he had to turn everything back on. Which only means the tuner couldn't get his tune to run properly. People have to stop being cheap and get the work done by a knowledgeable person.

We can tune for whatever fuel needed.

Good to see some ls3 stuff get a little burned out on Z06 after Z06 after Z06 do some ls2 and ls3 and other LSA some power mods to some of the more traditional LS motors enthusiasts out there work on instead of just the ls7 mostly. Gets a little repetitive.

The cam only C6 car made 441rwhp on your dyno in the May 11, 2018 episode. How do you account for it baselining so poorly only a year later? If these were different dynos or correction factors it would be easier to rationalize - but this is the same dyno, same tuner, I would expect it to be pretty consistent. Also, your "after" number says it made 490, but the dyno plot in the background says 480 - which is correct? I'm not trying to discredit your work, but 441 to 480 is a 39whp gain, not 81whp - a pretty substantial difference. I'm interested to hear your thoughts on this.

We already mentioned in another comment the 490 was a typo. As for the difference. Well May weather to August weather, Old plugs, could be plenty of reasons. That’s why we baseline them as they come in.... simple as that.

No car picks up the exact hp. Just like they all don't baseline the same number ,all cars are different. It gains what it gains that's why we don't guarantee a specific number.

I was personally wondering about the net gain as well, I think most of the gain from this LS3 comes from the entire package working together and tuned properly. For example, when i put an intake and headers on my ls3 it felt slower than stock until i got a tune. So, not simply cam only, thats misleading clickbait.

Chevy de tuned them from the factory they will always be weaker than a corvette, the engine inside of them .
