The fact you are so diligent and have the attitude / awareness that something was wrong and you could but wouldn’t let it leave your shop (“couldn’t sleep at night”). Dude. That speaks volume about your shop/ business. I admire the hell out of that. We need more of this across the board!

  • @scotts1668

My opinion is if it's a stick car that is down on tq and your willing to deal with more moving parts and potential failure points it has a place. If it's a 10 speed or a daily driver I wouldn't recommend it.. just my opinion from someone who was down on tq and a stick car and greatly considered it but still decided not to because of more failure points and it being my daily.. keep in mind one of the great things about centri blows in the linear power curve which is great for street traction adding that wastegate could potentially give u a aggressive power curve and blow the tires off (obviously this is tunable but if u have to tune most of that boost out to keep traction) WAS IT WORTH IT,? Just my 10c

To add to the guys who are wondering about the insults being thrown at others in the shop that may not know as much. Obviously, you apply for a job you know where and what they do. You HAVE to have some job knowledge. I’m a fairly new DIY guy, I’m not “into cars” and documenting a huge shop but I know that I should know what a trunion is. Also, work ANY job long enough and have a helper/ new hire that doesn’t pick up on shit. I’m patient as all get out, after a few months I’m spitting fire tf are they supposed to do. Third, if you meet fire with fire, it’d chill. Cat doesn’t know enough about the hobby he’s into to even counter on the basic level. No knock against the camera guy but if you wanna level a playing field you learn what you need to about what you’re dealing with. It’s not a Disney editing job.

Crazy how the very experienced mechanics who 100% specialize in GM vehicles, specifically LS/LT platforms, know everything inside and out and act like a person who is learning this stuff should automatically know it all like them. If their annoyed about the videos and social media stuff then they should work somewhere that doesnt operate this way. Its funny at times but more makes them look like a holes who are actually ignorant as they dont want to spread their knowlege in a productive way. Not the greatest look overall to the shop. Plus the way they talk about peoples cars at times that are paying a premium to have them worked on there.

The text is sent to him that’s free info. Also when you take your car to another shop and they screw you expect to get clowned by your previous good shop. Haven’t heard them talking crap about customers though that was simply a story. I mean they talk shit to each other but what shop doesn’t? When I sold cars, I was able to drive both a procharged 5.0 mustang and one with a rousche supercharger, which is similar to Whipple. It was night and day. The procharged mustang had a little more top-end power, but the rousche charged mustang had much better throttle response and more torque at lower rpm. I'd much prefer a Whipple or rousche supercharger over a procharger. The looks of the top-mounted superchargers is the icing on the cake.
