Well done bro, fair play. I just paid a garage to do mine 30 quid a corner lol saved me a lot of hassle. but hey it makes a decent video 👌

I dont get that. I did mine recently. I had to compress the originals a lot but the lowered springs barely needed any compression to get them on but my shocks were nowhere as compressed as those 🤷🏻‍♂️

Glad you got it done in the end mate, i dont know if you learnt where you went wrong, but i think all you needed to do was pull the chrome inner rod of the strut up and extend it you didnt need to compress the springs so much but you did well!

I always assumed that when the shocks didn't return to standard height they are pretty much redundant and need replacing? There is next to no travel in them and will be even less when back on the car. Good job H, I've just done bushes all round on my VXR, you'll need that patience when you do them mate Haha!

Can I have your details to insure you for life insurance.😳😳😳 Fair play bud I wouldn't risk it. I have a Astra sxi 1.6 2006. A mechanic had it before me for 5 yrs so mechanically fine apart from needs a new thermostat. It's stuck open so no big deal atm. Looks a ballache to get to though with all the wires. Gl and stay safe.

That black support clip at top strut mount didn't look all the way home as they say. Also the teeth looked damaged.
