My Apo b is now 45 and LDL is 47 and I’m nearly 50 and convinced regularly eating this breakfast has helped! Add to your oats: 1 tablespoon flaxseed meal, 1 tablespoon wheat germ (omit for gluten-free), 1 teaspoon Amla powder, 2 teaspoons barberries, cinnamon, and cloves daily. I didn't know that Amla can help lower someone's cholesterol. That's interesting and good to know.

My thoughts too. I just moved house and found my stock of amla powder and was trying to recall why I take it. I was literally about to google. This combo is very similar to what I eat every day. I do steel cut oats, a few frozen cherries for my RA, blueberries and strawberries which I leave out to defrost overnight, I grind up flax seeds, add cinnamon, a heaped tablespoon of pea protein to help maintain muscle since I'm an oldie, 1½ tablespoons of brewers yeast for fibre and B vitamins, 2 tablespoons wheat germ for fibre, 2 dessertspoons homemade soy yoghurt. Must go and take some amla! Thanks for great info as always Nisha 🙏

@@tosca... oh! This reminded me that I used to put wheat germ in my oatmeal. It was delicious. I hadn't thought to put pea protein in my overnight oats or in oatmeal at all. I tried a protein powder that had pea protein in it. I wasn't that fond of it. I may need to search for another one though. I've actually been looking into flax seed oil to help with inflammation and pain. Pain meds weren't working for me because my body doesn't metabolize it. So I figure why not look for some natural to help with pain? I don't know why as a society we get prescriptions to help with things before we look for a natural resource. The same is true with amla. I have it to use on my hair. I didn't know it could help in other ways as well.
@tosca...

@@EmorettaRobinson You've reminded me of the amla/hair treatment. I had forgotten that one, so thanks. Re the pea protein I get a plain, read tasteless, powder. I'm not a fan of flavoured supplements because I'm free to add flavours for different recipes, ie: protein balls, smoothies, soups, but have it flavourless for the all important breakfast concoction. I get a plain 100% organic protein powder @ my local food co-op. I can do so many things with it. Our protein needs increase as we age. It seems it's hard to maintain muscle mass and there's a ratio per pound or kg. One of my “go to” science/nutrition info podcasts is The Proof with Simon Hill. He's a great communicator and interpreter of complex science research.

Ohhhh Yes! Looks absolutely Delicious 😋
I think all of it sounds good, the powder is problematic because nowadays there’s so much good contamination, you just don’t know what’s pure.. I would eat all of it without the powders, and perhaps add a bit of flax seed which also helps lower cholesterol.
I'm German and I don't know what gooseberry, amla & blackseeds are. Will look it up immediately. Edit (for all that also didn't know): Stachelbeere, indische Stachelbeere und Schwarzkümmel (oder Ramtill, ein gelber Korbblütler aus Ostafrika). 😊❤️

I ❤ oat groats and usually eat them with ground flaxseed, berries of some sort, amla, and often a sweet balsamic (huckleberry is my fave). Sometimes I throw in pumpkin seeds, walnuts, or almonds too. Yum.

Her studies for her qualifications might help. Greger is not the only source of info. I use Fineli, a database maintained by the Nutrition Unit of the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL). Information about the average nutrient contents of foods and food products is in the database. The database includes over 4,000 foods and 55 nutrient factors. Hi love your blog. But wonder if you listen to Dr Gundry's lectin advices. I never had any pain but since eating quinoa my knees began to pain. I'm 60 + years of age. As Dr Gundry's search says arthritis causes these pains when you eat lectin-included food. Lately, quinia was my only carb with buckwheat. But he said 2 days ago don't eat them. Now Millet is healthy cooking it in the pressure cooking he says but I searched it isn't good with people who have hypothyroid Same with cruciferous food, not good for the thyroid. I ate kale, broccoli etc But I began to see the negative effects on my body & didn't know what to eat for my carbs. Veggies can't be a problem cause there are many options Love your recipes. May ai ask from where you get your spermidine powder? It's good for memory for my age people. Thank you. God Bless you PS Your face is always too pale, is it how you are or not eating animal protein & lack of B 12 vitamins You are gorgeous other but your colour comes to me too pale be the shooting & lights. Send my Love from London❤

Nope, too much. Simplistic is best.
Noooooo please.. amla is so damn good that it ll completely destroy the flavorful breakfast... instead consider ingesting it bare stomach first thing in the morning.. let it work for half hour before u relish your morning cuppa coffee. Here in India we get amla juice. Which i dilute with equal amount of water n gulp down bare stomach. Love from India 🇮🇳 ♥
