Lower Body Standing Pilates with Small Ball (30 Min Class)
Like a Mat class, but upright! We'll be on our feet for the entirely of this lower body standing Pilates class.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
-Small Pilates ball (doesn't have to be the exact same size I'm using, but for reference, mine is a 7.5" ball) amzn.to/3qEZrlJ - you can do this class without a ball, but you'll want to have a dish towel on hand that you can roll up and place behind your knee
-Stool/chair/counter top

If you're used to taking Classical Pilates classes, this will be a smidge different. I'm trained through STOTT, which is a contemporary, anatomy-driven approach - and then I put my own flair on top of that. :)

Balance, coordination and burn! Deceptively challenging. Love it. Thank you Nicole.
This class is nothing like other standing Pilates classes, which focus more on balance, foot work and small muscles activations. This class is all about a good BURN. Every movement in this class burn my glutes and quads like hell, especially the hydrant and curtesy part, it hurt so much that I had to pause to take a breather for my weaker left side. Good burn. Love it. But I’ll skip this class if I just took barre class the day before, it burns too much for me to handle, just like the situation I’was in today. Hopefully we can get to see more creative standing Pilates classes here.

You’re so considerate for always giving out alternatives in case we don’t have the equipment needed, I mean, there’s nothing that can prevent us from working out 😂.. I’ll give this a try with a dish towel instead thank you ❤

Wowwwww this was so good! Kinda rude how we had to put the ball under our knee in lunge forcing us to stay low...made me realize how much I normally cheat in lunges lol! Thanks for another great one!

Lol I’m guilty of that too! In my head I’m like “I’m far away from the ground because I’m tall” … and then I watch back the video and am like oh no actually it’s because I’m barely bending my knees 😂
