Such a great idea. No pressure, relaxing, and each page could be torn out to use as collage sub straight or individual piece. I LOVE doing neurographic art…so relaxing. Thanks for your lilac painting demo. Adding the yellow was a great touch.

What a great idea! I have quite a few books.... for my journal ephemera.... Then perhaps I won't feel badly about "wasting" paper.... I love how the flowers look cut out. Beautiful. This is a great video, thanks for recommending it. I like the explanation you gave for holding a brush. Enjoy your weekend. Catherine

First time to your channel, it came thru as recommended videos to watch.Love, Love and Love this video. Did I say I love this video? Grin😊. Yes, you are correct, there are tons of videos as to what to do on a book page and on altered books. This is the best one of the hundreds I have watched so far. Its the best flip thru of all... why? Because you shared what you did, you stopped to show us literally by working on a page in front of us as you flipped thru... no major piles of paper and art materials were needed. It provided tons of inspirations, explained what to do when we dont like an art creation, how to use or transform the page art we are not pleased with, it reflected the book is for fun, reminding me to just have fun in the process, not always aim for perfection. How to use markers, watercolor, paint and scissors aka what we have on hand with our current art supply budget. Love the flowers and your idea to cut the individuals out and make a floral bouquet and boom, now the flowers all look beautiful when grouped together as a collage. Its okay to have unfinished pages and come back to them later. Its okay to just add or change one thing on a page and move to another page... How to use up the pages I have that I do not like what I created on them... Inspirational, in my art supply budget, supportive and educational. Loved this, Thank you so much, this was exactly the video I needed to watch at this time!

WOWzer! I wish I'd have planned all of that 😂. I am absolutely jazzed you got so much out of it Diane, that's amazing. The feedback is greatly appreciated as one never knows where the audience is as far as skill-level and what they've seen and not seen enough of, lol. I can't take credit for those cutout flowers or the bouquet, I saw it eons ago. I did a video a while back and gave the channel credit where I learned to do them there, but for the life of me can't remember who it was now. Not sure if you're old enough to remember the old tv show (Kung Fu) that featured a marshal arts master/teacher who often said something like "You have learned lessons well Grasshopper" but that learning and absorbing is all on you, go ahead and own that 🤓 I'm a HUGE believer in the Universe delivering just what we need when we need it and this is a great example of it. Good for you for being open to taking advantage of it. Thanx so much for hanging out here for a bit, make yourself comfy, stay a while 😉 thank you too for taking the time to leave such a kind comment. Feel free to explore "the library" as I now have over 300 videos (not all of them filled to the brim like this, I don't think, but hey, that is probably all in the eye of the beholder 🤔) Would love to know what kind of projects you enjoy most and more about your creative adventures.

Oh wow love love love all of these gorgeous painted flowers on book pages. The white pen definitely makes them pop. The flowers all looked so lovely separately but then when you put them together in a bouquet it was so stunning. I really like the idea of unwinding at night with some doodles, such a great way to relax. Your pup sketches are adorable!!! Can’t wait to see that page ‘o pups fill up. Great tip on holding the watercolor brush higher or lower depending on if you are painting details or if you want a looser paint effect. As I heard you say that I realized that I’ve never really thought about how I hold my brush - now I’ll pay attention! Thank you for a wonderful morning as always my friend! Sending lots of flowery love and hugs from Sophia and I to you and sweet lil Bitsy! ✨🐶🌈💕🎨🌸

They are so fun to do, I can see the DDF being blanketed with your own fantasy-colored, soft-rainbow of flora. It's funny what we don't think about...until we do. Then it makes all the difference sometimes, lol. Though, I'd bet that you do that intuitively. You've been painting long enough to have adopted so many good habits, that there's really no reason to think about it. Hope you also find some creative time for yourself this crazy and busy week 🧘🏻‍♀️🎨🤹🏻 Hectic hugs n love to you and Sophia from Bitsy and me 🪷🐿🌿

Kari, its been a while since Iv commented and been on Janet Nash’s livestreams and seen u there. Today battling a migraine that’s a blight today, I decided to watch you. Your voice is perfectly soothing, and this is such a good video❤ From now on, I am watch you when I am like this. Iv been struggling to get back to my art and this is a great idea while I sit unable to do much to be able to get great at scrappy sketching. I did not catch what watercolors u use. I still can’t get an artist quality set (like a good W&N) as an artist its so unbelievable to me. The prices of supplies have gone mad! this is perfect. You are right. Cheap watercolors do not pay off. You are better off with tempera blocks, than cheap watercolors. I tried using a prang set. $15 still not cheap cheap and its bad. I need some fine markers and I am set. You know, I never tried Posca pens before but I must get white just for highlighting. Ppl say uniball white is better but i have neither. These can be scanned too. I could watch u flip through them for hrs. Thank u for sharing❤❤❤❤

I just watched a video yesterday (?) on just that (the universe is magical that way, lol ✨), apparently it works beautifully. I’m certainly going to give it a go. However, I would do it in a different text block “sketchbook” as prepping the surface starts formalizing the process making the “no risk, low stress” factor go down. But absolutely, proper watercoloring in old books sounds like a perfectly delicious combo 🤓🤗
