This channel is dedicated to sharing a myriad of creative tidbits & information, new ideas and maybe some different twists on old ones about junk journaling, altered books, glue books, watercolor, and all kinds of other paper crafts related to those things. It’s geared for new junk journalers, but everyone’s welcome to play along. So, please: pull up a seat, find something delicious to drink and let’s hangout for a bit.
PLEASE NOTE: these videos are made for adults by an adult who values strong language (once in a while, that means the use of profanity). As a college English professor & writer: I don’t believe there’s any such thing as a “bad” word 🤓. On the other hand, I do believe whole-heartedly (and am quite fluent) in sarcasm & sass 🦀. Robin Williams was such a great loss..... It's unbelievable how much paint will stay in the bristels... I had never thought about how much paint is wasted when washing out a brush. Loved spending time with you today. Catherine

So true, a gifted, generous and gentle genius gone too soon. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my composition (and steno) books of "unwasted paint" and can't wait to start doodling and mark making in them. It won't be long and there'll be a flip-through of them, and I'm jazzed to bring that to the channel. Thank you for hangin' out here for a bit 🤓

Ugh…adulting! How it interferes with playtime! Great video that inspired me. I mainly have used my composition book to use up paint on the brushes but intentionally laying it down to create background pages is a great idea and a good, non-threatening place to experiment with mark making and the next steps. People (me in the past) tend to look at a whole page like yours and wonder what they could do with it but looking at small sections and how one could use them in other pieces is the key. Making various sized cut out “windows” and moving them around really gives one new eyes with which to see the possibilities. I would love to see your “next steps” in a future video. Tfs

You're SO right making little window of scrap cardboard or heavy paper is such a great way to see things anew. And yes!!! non-threatening, no-stress way to play with color and mark-making...it's all just paper and there's no way to do it "wrong". Thanx for spending some time here, always great to see you 🤓📓

Hahhah, yes, graduation pics, but not mine. The music I picked really reminded me of a sad scene from the wonderful Robin Williams movie "Dead Poets Society" and just wanted to give a nod. So I included some images from the movie. It was loads of fun--imagine: an ENTIRE book of painty papers and scraping paint...pages and pages and pages (per our conversation at this morning's live, 😂🤣😂)
Awesome pages as always I have paint but don't use it. But I might have to get then out because it looks like fun.

I did something similar in my altered book (vid to follow some day), and really enjoyed the process. Fun to just paint. Yours turned out super! Love the use of neon. TFS!
