ovebites (stylized as LOVEBITES) is a Japanese all-female heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by former Destrose members Miho and Haruna. Its lineup consists of Miho on bass, Haruna on drums, Midori and Miyako on guitar, and Asami on vocals. After signing to Victor Entertainment, the group released both their self-titled debut EP and their first album in 2017 before performing their first overseas concerts at the end of the year. With another EP and album released in 2018, Lovebites quickly garnered international attention and won that year's Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for Best New Band. They released their third album, Electric Pentagram, in 2020, and it reached number 9 on the Oricon chart, becoming their highest-charting to date

The guitars ARE surprising to everyone because everybody predicts a guitar solo but most nobody expects them to both shred at such a professional level and it's amazing.
That's only the beginning the adventures with Lovebites. The next maybe Epilogue, Edge of The World or Swan Song.
Duel guitars is a feature of Power Metal, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween, DragonForce those bands are the big ones, and the big influences of LOVEBITES. They decided to bring it back and they did it in a big big way. They are perfection.
Midori / Miyako is the best duo today! Miyako plays the keyboard/piano in several songs, "Edge of the world", "Swan song", "Epilogue" are some that you will find in YT. Thanks for another Lovebites song \m/

One of their strengths is that Midori and Miyako are actually so different in style and tone, which makes their duets all the more powerful. Midori is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel. Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion and pinch harmonics. They can both smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reactor said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band together."
Well you are hearing the glory days of 80's Metal (Iron Maiden/Judas Priest etc..) taken with some Dragon Force influences (they toured with them in the UK earlier) and brought to a whole new level by these insanely talented women. This band has only been together 4 short years and are actually getting better with each new release. If you want more of the power ballads then Epilogue (kzread.info/dash/bejne/fHuuxtWphqfAlbg.html), Edge of the World (kzread.info/dash/bejne/eHuG2rp8dNe4dqQ.html) or Swan Song (kzread.info/dash/bejne/g4l7pbNqdreoYMo.html) all awaits. Actually anything LIVE from this band is awesome as they are FLAWLESS in their performances. These ladies are all under 5' 2" but no one stands taller on stage playing LIVE than Lovebites!!!!
