There is some religious symbolism in this song but it's metaphorical. When Midori was in the US or UK, she went to some churches to listen to gospel music. She liked it and she incorporated that into this track which she co-composed. This song (and the EP) was released during the middle of the pandemic and Asami mentioned that she wanted "Glory to the World" to be a gift of hope to the world during the darkest of times, and she wrote the lyrics to reflect that.

Thanks for your reaction. Song "Glory to the World" written in 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic swept the world, when millions of people began to get sick and die. The world plunged into the darkness . The Japanese government declared a state of emergency. Due to the state of emergency, many Japanese were at home in self-isolation. They could not go to work or do business, suffered financial losses. Many people become depressed. The LOVEBITES National concert Tour was interrupted. The band was only able to play 3 concerts in February 2020, the remaining concerts (February, March, April) were cancelled. In one of the interviews, Midori reveals that the LOVEBITES technical support team suffered greatly (there was no work, all concerts in Japan were banned,, work in the studio was sharply reduced, etc., ect) 'Glory to the World' - this is a Hymn to the World (Humanity), which will go through the trials that have fallen to its lot (Covid-19) . This is a call to believe that dark times will end, millions of people will stop dying and life will be reborn. This song was written by LOVEBITES to support people (including his fans) in the most difficult moments, instill in them faith and hope for the best. From an interview with LOVEBITES: " We wrote this song hoping that it would cheer on the World in its current situation ” In the Music Video, the director added: Christian Chapel, the reincarnation of Jesus Christ in our time; bloody stigmata on the head and palms; a large glowing cross above Asami's head (after the second verse, before the guitar solos); Angels who sing (at the end of the song); Jesus goes to the church where they play LOVEBITES. The director added all this to enhance the positive impact of MV on peopleto convince that faith in the best (for religious people - faith in God) will help people survive all this horror that was associated with the pandemic.

This song is actually giving hopes to so many wolfpack out there during the pandemic. I can't even critics this song. It's just perfect, especially for those who seek for hopes.

This song is relentless beauty. The speed and underlying shredding by Miyako & Midori is insane. Haruna is incredible. She plays at hyper-speed driving the song, yet, she's really smart with the use or her china/bells/cymbals and fills, and even though the base playing is a straight line, she keeps it so interesting throughout with subtle and not so subtle changes. Miho is in lockstep with Haruna, very traditional metal with insanely fast finger picking. And of course Asami and her beautiful non-metal/metal vocals. Amazing band, amazing talent, refreshing in this current age of metal.

But they did it. About "Glory To The World" guitarist Midori and Vocalist Asami says of the song. When Midori came to the U.S. and between tours in the U.K., Midori found time to visit his local church⛪ many times. It was then that Midori strongly felt the power of church music and the energy of the people. When she composed and arranged "Glory To The World," Midori made it into a powerful song. In an interview for a magazine project, Midori commented, "The world is going through a difficult time right now, and I hope this song can push people back. LOVEBITES was also in a difficult situation where they could not hold live concerts, but Asami went directly to the members' homes to get hints on how to write lyrics. The guy is Jesus of resurrection and the message of the song is the world overcoming from the epidemic.

It is indeed a rare occasion or happenstance that the heavy metal world gets the opportunity of a visit by a an exceptional accomplished multi instrument musician of very high caliber named Miyako. Her brainchild creations and compositions are driving this genre to newer boundaries of complexity and seamless dynamics: an apt recognition as composer extraordinaire.

Midori wrote this song. Killer song. Angra / Sonata Arctica vibes. The MV is artistic. Very well done. I like the band in the church. Very nice. Orlando Bloom wandering around getting the stigmata is a bit strange tho.
