The video was originally posted on the record label’s channel and not theirs back in 2017. They added it to their channel during the hiatus. There is a third official release on JPU Records channel, the international distributor of LOVEBITES music.

This was the first music video I ever saw from them and I was immediately hooked ever since.

For many of us, this was our first introduction to the band. The first version had an ad for a tour which happened years ago, so this is that without the ad in the middle.

This was my introduction to Lovebites in December of 2017, totally blew me away and then having the pleasure of meeting Miyako a few weeks later at NAMM 2018 just sealed the deal and I became a fan for life.

midori's early look - long hair with highlights instead of the high blonde pony. and she's using that white frx by esp which is my favorite guitar ever. never seen her use it in a live though - just mv's. she is obviously very comfortable with her purple e-11

Only on the early videos do you really get to see Miyako Move around like this.

It's also commonly called an ice bell. I actually vastly prefer the ice bell over the crown of the ride. Makes about the same sound but way clearer and cuts through everything unlike the crown of the ride.

Although Haruna uses Sabian cymbals, she uses a Zildjian Zil bell on her kit. She has said that she prefers that bell to other brands.

They make this song better with each concert. I see it is on the Knocking at Heavens Gate Blue Ray coming out 8/23. With the release of Hammer of Wrath and how good they did that song, especially when they in sync lift their guitars, can't wait to see how they do Shadowmaker. Great Reaction guys!!!

A little bit on this video. It came out back when the album came out. Just in the middle was a break with an ad for their concert dates and release date for the album. Last year they re unloaded it with the ad edited out. That one is still online. It will have a posted date of 5 yrs ago.

It's definitely criminal that the comments haven't led you to Edge of the World or A Frozen Serenade. They are two of their best songs and they show off their progressive side. Each will take you on a journey!

Haruna uses effects cymbals more than anyone. To her they are not effects but part of the norm. Chinas, stacked, and the stacked Zbell which is a not shown well here but in other videos you see it is 2 bells on each other and taped together.. She is a very unique drummer.

They all wear different dresses. They‘ve changed their outfits for every new album. Also Midori plays another guitar here, she does not use anymore in LOVEBITES performances. And Miho‘s bass guitar isn‘t the one with the red dots. Only Miyako‘s Dean is still her favorite guitar for many of their songs …

This was the video that alerted the world to a new force in metal. It was the second video they dropped on youtube, and the one that blew up. For obvious reasons.

This was the video that introduced me to Lovebites, i was floored from the start!! Had to immediately go watch everything they had at the time!! 🤘 The old video as you said had an ad for the album and tour in the middle of the video!! 😂

First time these ladies kick my ass...damn ! Listen that Haruna's drum work 🔥that riffs, that bass line.. Now this one i called metal.. They don't dance, they don't gimmick... Just straight heavy ! Badass 🤘

Thanks for the reactions. Any reacting to Lovebites is always welcome in my book. As far as a live version of this song, there's a few you could choose from, but one I like people to check out is one of their first true live performances, and one that caught a lot of people's eyes, is their performance from Wacken 2018. IIRC, they were the first Japanese all female metal band to perform there as well. Personally, I love this performance because it shows just how good they were all the way back even then as they were only a few years into existence as a band, and the sound is maybe a little more...raw? I dunno if that makes sense, but anyways I think it's worth a listen. Whether you do that on your own time or do a react is totally up to you though. Shadowmaker is first shred song that they did. And thewy always play it live no matter what. Its even better live and Asami hits high note 3 times: before solo starts, that one like in the video and last one goes after last chorus. And solo live is bad ass because M & M stand next to each other and shred-its just amazing

May I recommend Aldious. They have been around since 2008 and were the first of the modern Era of Female Japanese Metal bands. Because of their success other bands like Lovebites soon followed. They have a huge Discography of dozens of sub genres of songs. From Heavy Metal like Scabby Heart, Thrash Metal Luke We Are, Goth Metal like Sweet Temptation, Power ballads like Fragile, Pop Punk like Die For You, Speed Metal like Luft, Pop songs like Without You, Power Metal songs like Go Away, sad Melodic ballads like I don't like me, Prog Metal like Show Down, And even highly orchestrated theatrical songs like I wish for you. No matter what style of music you like you can find something by them that you would like.

As excellent as this music video is, it pales in the intensity and beauty of their live performance of this song. Additionally, Asami's vocal performance on this music video is, at best, one-third that on her live performance (Tokyo 2021: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qaF1rbSid5ufgcY.html), where she strategically added two additional outstanding vocal holdouts that added fire to the fury of this outstanding song.

It's hard to believe that they were actually THIS good in the Fall of 2017. They had been together as a band just over a year. Love your Reactions and musical knowledge and analysis. You guys have found some Amazing Japanese bands, BUT - there IS another Japanese band you haven't discovered yet - that is Just As Good as Lovebites. I'll be a *Wolf* till I die, but I still watch lots of other bands. You guys *NEED* to discover Unlucky Morpheus - they will blow you away. For the next one, I recommend the new live performance posted to their official channel. It's Hammer of Wrath from Knockin' At Heaven's Gate, a pair of shows from this past March, so pretty recent. The performance is the first song on the first of these two shows, and features Fami, their new bass player. It is her first live show with the band. It's amazing for all of these reasons honestly. If you stop the guitar solo in the middle and comment, the composition will be ruined. You should explain it after listening to it once. It's a pity that the wonderful solo has been divided.

Trying so hard to be a fan, the musicality is amazing, but something in her vocals, a particular technique, it just wrecks it for me. Everything else about the band is phenomenal, makes Band Maid sound like pop music, but those damn vocals……. Apparently it’s an ish-me….. everyone else seems to like it….
