Nargis loved him unabashedly. She did everything for him. Yaa it was her mistake that she fell for a man who was already married. But what more do we expect from a girl of age 18 years who has already lost her mother and father by then. Nobody was there to guide her. She invested her 10 years for a person to whom she got attracted being there at her tough times. But I wish it was someone else rather than RK. Then she would have got better reward for that investment. But it's good that God sees everything and he gave her Sunil Dutt ❤️

Having said that i feel that no matter how much anyone loves a person, they should not get involved with them if they are married. No amount of love justifies that.I agree that what Raj and Nargis did was wrong and Krishna ji did not deserve what she went through.

All of them were legends, Nargis ne bahut kuch kiya tha Raj Kapoor ke liye. Lekin Nargis bahut hi jayada lucky thi jo itna chahne wala premi aur itna pyar kerne wala pati mila.

Love does not see any boundaries, when it has to happen, it happens. RK and Nargis pure souls and were very much in love. That was not materialized into marriage due to Destiny. Marriages are made in heaven. Both have contributed a lot to Indian cinema like no other. I love them. Adorable lovers. They both produced greatest movies of all time. He keeps his wife & family while she ends up with no official status in his life, no children & no rights. Nargis did the right thing leaving him & getting the life she wanted & deserved. She chose herself & her happiness. She got her own family because she married Sunil Dutt. Great decision. I’m sure RK loved her. But sometimes love isn’t enough! Respect is more important.

Question here is why did Krishna Kapoor stay with Raj Kapoor?? It's only love as long as both respect each other and their marriage. What's the point of one sided love and no respect? People think that if she stays with him, despite the fact that he openly cheated on her, it will be good for her image and she'll be known as a woman who fought for her relationship and held on till the end, no matter what ups and downs they faced. But people don't understand that that's only limited to certain things. When one disrespects the bond of marriage then there's no point staying in that relationship. Sad! and look at the audacity of Raj Kapoor to say that Nargis cheated on him. Bullshit! He should stop playing the victim card firstly. If he felt so bad and realised he was about to loose her, why didn't he act instead of being all sad about it? All these Kapoors, do the wrong thing first and then feel sorry later. All of you do not understand a very simple thing: you should not approach people of art with your own standards. In order to create, an artist needs emotions, inspiration, love. Just look at their creations. They came into this world for this, and not to be faithful or unfaithful to their wife/husband. You don't know anything about the power of such love as people of art experience. When Nargis left Raj, he died. I didn't know this story when I watched the movie “Dil hi to hai” but I saw that he was dead. I looked and did not understand why a living person is actually dead? It wasn't until 1964 that he was able to pour his heart out in the film Sangam, where Gopal is Raj Kapoor, Radha is Nargis and Sundar is Sunil Dutt. And Radha - Gopal are an eternal couple This is how he saw this story and told the whole world about it. How can we judge an artist? Raj Kapoor is the greatest master and we need to love him because he gave us the joy of his creativity, his genius!

This was just a media propaganda..nothing special ant it..a married man loved an actress. But Dev Anand suraiyya love story was divine and real .both young and was the first love affair for 4 years..it was the most real divine in the whole history of Indian cinema....Dev sahab decided to commit suicide immediately after the break up got over it became the most handsome intelligent actor ..this is just an ordinary a married man fell in love his second third or fourth......

All those slamming RK and Nargis should calm down and give them a break. If not, just don’t bad mouth at least. Life situations sometimes are not black and white nor binary. He loved Nargis very, very much. If it was only lust, he could have left and forgotten her and had fun with 100s of other more beautiful women without headache of being hounded for marriage. Just because he could not marry her does not mean he did not love her. Only a person who loved can remember all the old memories in great detail even after many, many years like he did, and even put it into his movies. Sometimes passion for a person does not listen to reason or laws. My guess is RK was too much of a romantic sentimental guy on the excess side. Yes, also maybe possessive which happens with hopeless romantics. Same with her. That’s what happened here. I am not saying it was right but they could not help it. So enough of blah blah blah. I am just grateful his films and other movies gave so much joy and optimism not only to Indians but also other parts of the world when life was depressing everywhere after the wars. His net positive contribution to the world far outweighs any negative. I am sure every single person pointing finger has negatives too but very few did as much as he did to lift a common man’s mood, encourage an ordinary person to hum a tune or tap a dance.

Please, stop glorifying Nargis.........She may have been a good actor but a horrible, wicked, cheap woman who indulged in her lust and gained fame, glory and money w/o any care for the torture she caused his wife and children....She occupied all his working and none working hours, sending home a tired, angry, guilty husband/father who had no time or energy for them, just shouting angry orders............ A handsome young man with so much power is an aphrodisiac and these women indulged and sold themselves to him........
