His youthful vitality, romantic sensibility and warm heartedness can be felt throughout. He seems to me to possess and having brought the 19th Century Romantic poets' sensibilitites to the cinema. Salute RK and admire him alot.

And let us not forget some of the songs that Manna da sang for him. Evergreen music--that's what I remember him for, along with the films he made.

Best show ! Difficult to decide which episode is better than last one . I keep repeatedly watching all episodes Simi Ji . Wish I had met you when I was growing up in Ludhiana with Nina .

Miss Simi Garewal may I say you are a first class journalist. In that same breath- (please take this with a grain of salt) my dear, you are damned- forgive me. I say this because this documentary which you have done is pure gold 🏆- yet you continue to have issues keeping it on KZread!!!! Count your blessings that in 1970 you had the opportunity of a lifetime of working with Ranbir Raj Kapoor (1924-1988) in Mera Naam Joker, a film of Raj in the era of color (it was done in Technicolor). His autobiography was a wonderful story about his life. Another of his works that I truly love is Awara (1951) which teaches you about life- both abject poverty/crime & also wealth and affluence. This is where Raj saab would become known as the Charlie Chaplin of Indian cinema.

At around 19:45 you said that Nargis (like padmini and vyjanthimala) was "made" by raj kapoor. I think this is wrong. Nargis was not moulded into the sachet provided by raj kapoor. She was his equal, they were together through his success and failure. She and Raj together became the biggest stars, he wasn't a guru sort of figure to her, as he was with the other other ladies you've mentioned.
