Louisiana's 'cancer alley' residents vow to fight plastic plant
President Biden says one of his top priorities is cleaning up America’s air and battling climate change.
This is good news for Louisiana residents in the area known as "Cancer Alley" who are winning the President's support in their fight against a new factory.
The 150-mile stretch of the Mississippi has more than 100 petrochemical plants which spew out fumes and gases.
The Taiwanese company Formosa Plastics told Sky News that the plans for the new plant meet "all regulatory criteria, using advanced emissions reduction mechanisms and extensive measures to protect the environment".

Gtfo of our rivers! More trash than fish. Mining has ruined our waters here. Cancer is rampant in my little town 7 aunts and uncles died from cancer. My dad beat it twice. I feel bad for those affected

These Plants Must be forced to BUY OUT & Pay to REPLACE & RELOCATE EVERY Resident within 20 MILES AROUND period.

Why not move? I know that ketting a house get forclosed would hurt financially, but a bad credit score is better than cancer. (And please don't say no money to move. Bus tickets are cheap. Hitchhike. Whatever. Worst comes to worst, walk out--literally. If I were by a leaking nuclear reactor, I would get away any way possible.)
