Understandable with Mourinho available at the time, but i would have liked to kept him on and trusted his methods. It's sad to see him so happy celebrating Lingard's winner in the FA Cup final then the next day he was sacked.

@Mark O'Brien Yh exactly, despite him making a lot of failed signings I still believe that Man Utd could have progressed and possibly built a future with him and his squad. It’s also quite disrespectful that the board decided to sack him, despite winning the FA Cup but I believe he got sacked as he didn’t make top 4 with United.

His explanation is perfect, but he's not talking to a very bright audience. Neither are they writing for one.

He tried to play like the Netherlands did in the World Cup, but United have different quality at the time, so that was not fully his fault.

Funniest manager of all time!

This guy got us playing the most boring football in our history. People used to leave old Trafford in the 70th minute. I will never forget him parking the bus after the 15th minute and passing sideways hence 70% possession!!!

LVG set Manchester United back 2/3 years when we were trying to rebuild. If it was a 10 year rebuild plan, then LVG would have been okay, I guess. But his signings were awful. The players he decided to let go were questionable too. Then, there is that unbearable style of play. Atleast, OGS is making good signings and the football is interesting. I get it, LVG is very unique and we miss him being around. But the best decision in Manchester United post SAF era was to let him go.

He did a Kevin Kegan here and a Rafa. He lost his cool and went out on the defensive, big sam got the better of him. Fergie would never have reacted to this comment about the long balls. Fragile egos show fragility that eventually will lead to players losing respect for the manager.
