TheGigRig V2 Three2One enables you to seamlessly switch between and balance levels of you guitars. V2 now includes a TUNER OUT as well as improved pre-amp design. If you use more than one instrument on stage, this is a must!
Input Selection: Three2One detects when there is a connection to an input. (Please note if you don’t have anything plugged in, no LED’s will illuminate). If you have guitars plugged into inputs 1&3, Three2One will toggle between those inputs, or any other combination of the three inputs. Pressing the footswitch will toggle between all the connected inputs.
Tuner Selection: Sending your signal to the tuner out is simply a matter of holding the footswitch down for 2 seconds. Note that as soon as you press the footswitch the signal is sent to the tuner so you don’t have to wait 2 seconds to tune, but after 2 seconds you can take your foot off the footswitch without toggling between inputs. To exit tuner mode, tap the footswitch to send the signal to the output
Preamp Selection: Each input has a dedicated selectable preamp so you can balance the signal level between all 3 inputs. Press the Preamp Select button to turn the preamp on, then use the gain control to select the level. Do this for any/all of the three inputs where you wish to alter the level of the guitar

Sometimes I think of a problem on my board and then maybe a week later you guys have solved it. Another killer product mate.

Thanks SO much 🙏
This is so brilliant. My beloved main Strat is the quietest guitar on earth where as my ES335 is somehow the loudest. I experimented with boosts and everything to somewhat adjust the volumes, but it never really worked the way I wanted. Planning my G3 Atom Pedalboard at the moment and this thing is for sure gonna be in the very front of the chain!

V3 could add RGB LEDs with a trim pot inside for each diode. Then you could set the colour of each diode to match the colour of the corresponding guitar 😇.

You should do a ‘shameless plug’ episode on TPS. I’m sure you use this stuff all the time on the show so it’d be interesting to see what you use and why. Think solutions like this are as fascinating as a drive, delay or vibrato pedal.

Great design, Dan! I've just started thinking about getting a 321 this week! Nice to see you playing the Jaguar as well, I hope you've been able to get on with it a little better! Shimming the neck at least 0.5° and using 12-56 or 12-60 is a good place to start if you haven't tried it yet!

Would be nice if there was a single input (so you can just switch the lead to another guitar) and chose the preset input level from the footswitch. Less cables lying around this way.

Great idea and product! Question. How does it deal with fuzzes?
@TheGigRigDaniel

Hi Kevin, the pre amp does act as a buffer but if the pre amp isn’t selected it’s completely true bypass and works perfectly with fuzzes 👍

@@TheGigRigDaniel Thanks for answering!
But does it help with bass frequency too (when changing from singlecoils to humis)?
Love you Dan. But surely using the volume on the amp sorts this out. Do we need another pedal on our already full board? To turn down the les Paul after we are playing a strat?
@TheGigRigDaniel
11 ай бұрын
It’s about gain structure as much as anything, so imagine setting up your pedals for your Lester then you plug your Strat in and you need to adjust all the settings on your pedals. By using the Three2One you get the individual sound of each guitar but the level is consistent
Is it possible to cycle through the different level adjustments using only a single instrument cable?
@ModNicGuitars

How does it work with using a germanium fuzz after the three 2 one? I’m guessing this unit makes your signal buffered?
@TheGigRigDaniel
Жыл бұрын
Hi Roland, it only buffers the signal if you use the preamps. If you dont turn the preamps on the signal is completely true bypassed using gold contact relays and will work perfectly with fuzzes 🤓🙏
I’m really keen on this as I need to switch between a hot Les Paul and a light Strat… would this affect the character of the tone and the way the guitars interact with pedals a lot or is it barely noticeable ?

@@TheGigRigDaniel I just received my 321, and it sounds great! The only thing I don't understand is, when I engage the tuner-always-on dip switch, the level drops to almost zero, unless I engage a preamp. Which I don't want, I was planning to have a dedicated input for use with fuzz etc, so I can't buffer. Is that a feature, or as bug?
@karlzickrick8483
Ай бұрын
@@bernsense I'm not Daniel, but that sounds like its probably an impedance issue caused by the impedance of the tuner input compared with the input impedance of whatever is next in line after the GigRig (especially if you have nothing but a long cable run to an amp on the other path). Passively splitting your signal can have that kind of destructive behavior which is why buffers/preamps before splitting the signal are ideal. Are you saying that you plan to put a fuzz BEFORE the Gigrig? Because it is usually a buffer before a fuzz that is problematic and not a buffer after a fuzz
For v3, why not build a tuner into it?
@TheGigRigDaniel
Жыл бұрын
Hi Martin, great idea 💡 👍
And would your fuzzface react well with that? Would you pick a guitar for the fuzzface and put that one before the three2one and level the others based on that? I'm sure you've thought about this.
@TheGigRigDaniel
Жыл бұрын
Hi Andre, the preamp circuit is selectable, if you don’t select it it’s completely bypassed via a gold contact relay so no problem at all with fuzzes, treble boosters etc 👍
