Just checking in to remind you that Lulu is just about the greatest album of Lou Reed's career and one of the greatest heavy rock albums ever made. It's been over a decade now, I think that's been long enough for the jocks and nerds to finally calm down and learn to live together. Seriously, the massive freak-outs from both the Lou Reed (nerds) and Metallica (jocks) camps was almost cartoonishly absurd. It was nothing more than an excuse to throw temper tantrums and pile on these great musicians without even trying to give this album a chance. Once More, With Feeling: If you want to understand and respect this album, go listen to White Light/White Heat, Berlin and Metal Machine Music. That's where Lou Reed was coming from. And Metallica delivered some seriously heavy music that complimented the material perfectly. Go track down the CD, or better yet, the vinyl LP. Give this album a listen, send your thanks to Lou for leaving us with one final masterpiece before he shuffled off this mortal coil. Bowie was right about Lulu. Bowie is always right. Listen to Bowie, kids.

People, why are you so critical! This is not a new album, Metallica! And why you would they want anything Metallica has returned to the MOP!? It will not be any where! It took 25 years from the time when it came out! And they're not going to go back to "roots", they have always done something special!

I love Roy Orbison over the last year I’ve started binging rrrd interviews and I also love grunge but I know that guy like Lou Roy influenced Metallica and modern punk same with iazzz influencing metal I haven’t listened to every velvet song but the songs I’ve listened to I like

I LOVED THIS ALBUM FROM THE FIRST MOMENT OF LISTENING TO IT. ACTUALLY I WASN'T JUST LISTENING TO IT, I PLUGGED IN MY 67 SG INTO THE MARSHALL 40 WATT AND RECORDED THE SESSION. YEP! SOME OF THE STUFF ON THIS RECORD IS SO SHOCKING THAT I WAS EXHAUSTED BEFORE IT WAS THROUGH . I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED BOTH METALLICA AND LOU REED BUT WHAT THESE GUYS DID TOGETHER IS SOME OF THE MOST HAUNTING YET MAGICAL MUSIC EVER MADE. IT IS TO ME CLEARLY THE BEST THING LOU REED HAS EVER DONE AND IN THIS INTERVIEW HE SAYS SO . TWICE! THANK YOU GUYS FOR JUST DOING IT!

Whether you care for Lulu or not, the fact remains that Lou Reed and Metallica knew what the fuck they were doing. I hope one day y'all succeed in shedding your preconceived notions of what a Metallica album should be and give Lulu an unprejudiced and open-minded listen. The combination of Lou's intense and unrelenting lyrics/delivery and Metallica's intense and unrelenting musical accompaniment makes for one hell of a ride.

I liked one or two pieces from this album. It's a very different piece of work. Ofcourse everyone has their own point of view but, you can't say it's horrible just because you dislike it.

Metallica makes more than 200 million dollars every year. Theyre one of the biggest bands of all time. They have toured and played in every continent in the wolrd and were the first ones. Do you really think that they would care if you start bitching about LuLu? Besides dont listen to this thinking it's going to be a metallica album. Its not you will be disappointed. This is Abstract lyricism, they said it themselves theyre not going by the path of writing music like how they've done before. This isnt a chorus, then verse 3. This is something new that they really like. And i can appreciate what theyve done

It's out of key, it's horribly recorded and it's very clear vocals were done before Metallica came in because it's a timing train-wreck. But even if you're right, then they shouldn't charge anyone.
