Very underrated album

I love Lulu!!! It's fucking art!!!

Lulu has so much interesting stuff in it. Could've been a genuinely phenomenal, groundbreaking album with more development and refinement.

For some reason bowie said that this álbum its a master piece

I'm glad Metallica gave Lou Reed that last boost,it's not a bad record,I think Metallica fans don't get Lou Reed s stuff,hence the backlash,but Lou was an inventor in the ultra loud guitar , I think some more open minded Metallica fans could like white light,white heat

Metallica fan here. I know a lot of people who love Lou Reed that just purely hate Metallica music and can't understand it, I think it's kind of a vice versa thing. it's not that Metallica fans aren't open to it it's just really not good and didn't work out. I think their styles are just to different to ever work. They're are definitely a lot of other bands I think that would have worked for the storytelling style music of lou read though.

Im a Metallica fan and I cant understand the hate for the album. Granted, not my cup of tea but i think Junior Dad is an absolutely beautiful song. I cant understand why Metallica fans cant take it or leave it. Its a collaboration and experiment. I dont think the album, like it or not isnt without merit. It also has people who adore the album. Bowie being one. Im aware of Reed's work amd respect him a lot but i do prefer other music of his time. But to disregard his talent is absolutely ridiculous.

I just went and listened to Lulu and they must by talking about a completely different album. The album their talking about sounds like an amazing album

There's some good arrangements and great riffs plus atmosphere on the record. It could have been produced more creatively. 6.9 for me. Not quite a 7.

I get wanting to like something so much that you find some good, but this album really was Lou at his worst performance wise, and Metallica just coming in whenever.. no real blend which would’ve been cool!

Lou's never cared about the critics (see his '78 live album) or publicity/record sales throughout his career. That's the beauty behind him and his work.
