Great vid. I'm always fascinated by lost media but it can be stressful to think about. So a nice vid about found media is really satisfying

Didn't the Super Mario Bros Super Show use licensed songs? Why couldn't someone just grab the song and edit it back in? Or was that an original song?

Not only were they covers, it's not a matter of just editing the song in, it's a matter of getting clean versions of the dialogue spoken over the music as well. Otherwise, the presentation isn't a true restoration. And Super Mario Super Show's music was mostly dubbed over with instrumental stuff from the Mario 3 and Mario World cartoons all the way back in the 90's. At least some of the SMBSS episodes were released on really crappy quality VHS back when the show aired, with the music in tact. SMB3, though? Not so much.

A lot of the copies (including the DVDs releases) of Captain N and Super Mario are missing their original music tracks. The episode featuring Milli Vanilli was completely butchered. I have all the first air episodes of Mario (not so lucky with Captain N - missing two due to a 'special news report') - are any of these still lost?

I have lost media to report not many people really cared so far so I won't be surprised if nobody cares about this comment but I'll say it just in case So I saw a video on KZread in like 2014-2016 where some guys are inflating a giant balloon that looks like the guy from the Hasbro operation game at night and then some guy that I think was dressed as a pig and then he got eaten by the balloon and then the screen turned black and there was a logo that was a 🚫 on top of half eaten fruit and a message at the bottom I couldn't see and I think the video was recorded at an airport because it was very similar to one
