I saw it coming but was very impressed with how much I loved it knowing it was gonna happen & not being disappointed by it. Add to the fact that Sawyer is my favorite character & juliet is my favorite female character. Before this I hated the fact kate ended up with jack cause I wanted Sawyer to be with her but after this I stop caring about that & even came to like Kate with jack.

man i am the only one never sold on that relationship. i saw it coming just because 1) they're there 2) man, lady 3) writers cannot NOT do it. i was hoping 'pleaseee don't force a romance b/ween these 2 characters out of convenience when their dynamic chemistry is already lots of fun but also hella platonic.' it'd be like if parks and rec crow barred a ~soulmates~ romance b/ween leslie and ron swanson. characters with actual attraction chemistry? yes. andy + april=✔️ des + penny=✔️ suliet= 🤮

When I watched the show live I was surprised how much I loved it even when I saw it coming and they became my favorite couple and even on rewatches I love it more. For full disclosure Sawyer was always my favorite character & Juliet my favorite women character

This episode is one of the most underrated in the entire series. I went from thinking that Sawyer was always going to be into Kate (and thinking that he would sacrifice his life for her one day to show that love) to desperately wanting him to live with Juliett in their own "happily ever after." Great reaction, Losties, err, Normies!

The whole Dharma Initative part of the season is why season 5 is easly in the top 3 of my favorite seasons of LOST.

Jimmy overall did a better job at reacting to Lost then any other reactor. But, there are times he could be flawed. And his eye rolling was one of those times.

And this is why I LOVE Lost. Hearing Nikki and Rana's theories is amazing! That's the whole joy of watching LOST. It's interacting with other fans discussing what different theories they have on what the show is. GOD I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH!

Relatively speaking the Island has ALWAYS been moving through space AND time. Just not in a normal way. And all the events on Island AFTER Ben turned that wheel just made those rules even more extreme, until Locke stopped it again!

To answer your questions; The first Ben flashback we had from Season 3 took place 1973 when Ben and Richard first met. One year later in 1974 - 1977, the "Oceanic Survivors" time jumped into this specific time period you are seeing now. Also the Dharma Initiative if you rewatch Season 2 Episode 3 "Orientation" the Asian guy in all the Dharma videos says it was founded by Alvar Hanso (Hanso Foundation) just to give you guys a historic lore on the Dharma Initiative. Season 5 alone dives deep into the history of the Dharma Initiative.

With all those french words, you all should be called "Nicole", "Renée" and "Serge" XD

Loved post-reaction-discussion, this was amazing, dam, can't wait for more.

I've been obsessed with that damn thing since season 2!!! Gives me chills every time I see it! lol

And this is all it took for me to completely forget Skate forever, My one true ship became Sawyer and Juliet, man I love them so so much

Do not let it go unnoticed that Sawyer is the little spoon

At one point I thought season 4 was the best in the series, but after watching season 5 again through these reactions I'm not sure anymore. There are a lot of big moments in this season.

LOST season 5 answers guide: 1. The incident caused the mothers to die while giving birth. 2. Horace was the one who built the cabin (if you connect season 4 Locke's vision with season 5) 3. The necklace Paul was wearing was a teasing to the role Jacob has on the island (see the four toed statue also). 4. Amy wearing ear drops shows how you can pass the fence without being killed or passing out. Probably that's why Richard passed also.

Just came to think of it. So, Sawyer tells Horace about Black Rock, Horace says he never heard about it. Three years later we see him throwing dynamite near the fences. So, either Dharma people including LaFleur found it on the ship, or Dharma had their own dynamite and thanks to Sawyer, removed it to the Black Rock. The fact is that whoever brought this dynamite to the Black Rock, created an advantage for our crew to open the hatch and get rid of Arzt. Great stuff to think about!

If you rewatch Season 2 episode 17 "Lockdown" it was revealed on the Blast Dorr Map that the Dharma initiative knew about the Black Rock. Here is some historic lore for you. The Blast Door created by Radzinsky; if you observe carefully every detail of it you will see the "Known final resting place of Magnus Hanso who was the Captain of the Black Rock ship. And who may you ask was Magnus Hanso? Well Magnus Hanso was the great grandfather of Alvar Hanso and Alvar Hanso was the founder of the Dharma Initiative. When I first saw this my jaws dropped. This show is like a jigsaw puzzle you have to piece together.

This was one of the best episodes for me. No matter how many times I had watched this episode, I always loved it.

Haha it's so fun seeing Rana and Nikki talk about time travel and Big Ben vs Lil' Ben. How crazy things have become since the first episode.

Nikki ("Let Down Your Hair") has a theory that I read on one of the LOST fan websites back in the day. It really is a pretty cool theory.

OK, you know, just fuck it! YOU GUYS are now my favourite Lost reactors again. This was an AMAZING video and I hope, it gets a ton of traffic!

I love this episode!

It's obvious that Sawyer is still in love with Kate. Anyone who's sold on Suliet has blinders on and is not paying attention to all the anvils dropping all over the place. Sawyer said he's gonna wait for Locke to bring Kate back "as long as it takes!" Three years later he and Sun are still doing daily grid searches to find the women they love. "How long do we keep looking, "James"?" "As long as it takes!" growls "James". And at the end, she returns and it is epic. When did Sawyer ever look at Juliet like this? Get real. Also, Horace&Amy are a total parallel to Juliet&Sawyer. At the beginning of this episode, Horace is throwing dynamite around out of jealousy.

how can sb. be blinded so much or are they just superficial? Have they seen the same show? There are a lot of hints for skate in S 6. Juliet always was nr.2, only for having a partner, that wasn't a big love affair. They couldn't convince as couple, it seemed so forced. How sawyer looked so bored with the FAKE sunflower (topinambur)in his hand/ not sawyer,but FAKE La Fleur . Even sawyer mentioned juliet not a SINGLE time after she was gone. She committed suicide from jealousy. She decided against sawyer to give the fence code, she decided to leave the sub against sawyer's wish and she finally decided to explode the bomb against sawyer 's intention, who tried so hard, to convince jack, not to erase the past. Exploding the bomb, to poison the island with radioactivity, which caused the dead babies and dying of women after that time. A really big love, ha ha. She called him 'james' although he hated it and everybody called him 'Jim' in dharmaville. Why did she do that? From love? Surely not! Sawyer never told juliet, that he is doing grid search for 3 years with jin to find the friends again, bc. Locke promised to bring them back. Juliet had no idea about it. She could influence his behaviour through brainwashing, but not his heart. She was well experienced as one of ben's trusted member and responsible for it ( Walt)brainwashing , people maipulating all along, notorious liar, asf.

I don't know if the Normies are reading these comments .. if they're smart they won't, because these comments are FULL of spoilers .. but we should probably try not to spoil too much just in case .. but in this episode ALONE there are all kinds of hints that Suliet is not all it seems .. most notably the sunflowers .. not just the one Sawyer is holding, but the ones that are in a vase in the foreground on Suliet's dining room table .. if anyone remembers, Sawyer is susceptible to brainwashing, and the video he was watching in Room 23 portrayed a series of sunflowers similar to these, with the words "plant a good seed and you will joyfully gather fruit", as Sawyer joyfully gathers a sunflower and robotically takes it to Juliet .. "is that for me?" .. like she's surprised .. as we see a whole VASE FULL of those same sunflowers in the foreground of the scene .. they are there for a reason, and nobody noticed. (also the shirt Juliet's wearing has flowers on it .. and his fake name is "LaFleur". One minute of watching the video in Season 3 subliminally affected him, so imagine what three years with 'the great manipulator' has done)

Also hundreds of comments here on yt about lost are spoilers. Anyway it makes less sense to write comments here, some people are superficial and not interested to look for a deeper sense or parallels or literature hints, etc. Before he picked the topinambur ( which doesn't smell!) -he passed the garden, then stopped and returned, as if he suddenly remembered' o I forgot the flower' for mami, ha ha

I'm not sure why you're having trouble with the timeline, regarding Ben and Widmore. Basic math should clarify. We saw 17-year-old Charles Widmore in 1954, which means present day Widmore in 2007 is about 70. They are currently stuck with the Dharma Initiative in 1977, which means whatever Charles is doing at this point, he's about 40. I don't think it's been specified yet what year 8-year-old Ben first came to the island, but it seems like Dharma was active during the 1970s and 80s, which would make Ben around 40-ish years old in present day 2007, which is 30 years younger than Charles.
