@@Jeremy-jm3fe I doubt he had a psychosis to begin with, he wasn't in the hospital because of psychosis but because of psychological trauma after the accident. He started seeing things when he was in the hospital already, where he was diagnosed as psychotic and despite being given meds, he still saw dead people. The Dave in the hospital was probably Libby's husband.

Suraj. Brotha. I have never heard people talk about anyone else the way they talk about me until now. When Nikki and Rana start having a little side conversation about how insane you are to know the exact episode and moment to show them legit made me smile so fucking hard. You are the only one that understands.

Suraj this episode is not week it sums up what the oceanic 6 went through in s4 what they have left off island and foreshadows what they have to go back to on the island. Jack has learned he is better husband and farther than his own but there is nothing left off island more important than saving everyone on the island. Suns pregnancy put her at risk of surviving long enough to help now ger child is safe off island she holds everyone accountable for the wrongs they did. Kate is an odd number, she has always tried to help normally at the wrong time and place, off island she has seen she is a better mother than her own, her instincts to get away and compassion are better suited to situations like ensuring sun survived and would do good on the island. Hurley holds the burden of everyone who sacrificed something to protect the island but wont fall for Ben's bs and sees things can be done differently on the island. Sayid is a useful tool that sees through the bs. Ben has never been able to have full faith in the island due to believing he is special and has gifts that can save everyone and protect the island. He cant trust things will work out. Every attempt to manipulate things into happening just seams to put a spanner in the works and its going to get him in trouble one of these days. Locke continues to look after the islands, others, and survivors best interests.

You guys said that Hurley never talked to dead people in the past but I don´t think that is quite right. He used to talk to Dave in season 2 who I believe is one of the people who died on that balcony that crashed when Hurley set foot on it. At the same time, I think that Dave was the husband of a certain character we used to know. That character talked to Desmond about her husband in a flashback and called him David :D

HURLEY to his Dad: Dad, please! Just don't tell 'em I'm here! HURLEY'S DAD: All right, but then you're gonna tell me the truth. HURLEY'S MOM: Tell you mother the truth. HURLEY: We lied, Ma!....(and then)...A lot of people died, Ma. And now this bad stuff is happening because...well...we shouldn't have lied. BEN TO HURLEY: If you come with me, you won't ever have to lie again.

Season 5 Answers Guide: 1. The woman in the shop was one of the others meant to have a role in observing the outside world and perhaps report to Ben on the island, or as in this case take care of some things Ben needs her to do. 2. Every single jump through time (and that wil be more clear when the whole season comes full circle) was important and had it's role to play: the second in which Locke meets Richard and takes the compas had a huge significance in the show because is the main reason Locke ends up in the coffin. More about this in the next episode. 3. God help us all means that every single one of us is dead (Season 3 quote) which she says because everything needs to happen how it is supposed to, or they never exist.

Things that don’t make sense in Lost starting season 4. -Tom going of the island when he supposed to be becoming friends with Jack on the Island. -All of Locke’s Flashbacks in Cabin Fever showing Richard’s interest and involvement with his life. -Sun approaching Widmore and telling him they have common interest when he is the reason, more so then Ben that Jin is death. -Ethan meeting John Locke several years before he crashes on the island and not remembering it, even though he saw him disappear right in front of his eyes in a flash of light. Which is something if it happened to them, no person would ever forget. * -Richard showing up could have made sense if it weren’t for ... //////extensive spoiler/////, argument.exe cannot compute. - John apparently meeting Richard in the past soon, in his future will also never make sense. - Not calling John by his name and calling him Jeremy Bentham until his identity is revealed to us, the viewers and suddenly everybody calls him John again. - Kate not saying Sun’s name on the phone and making it seem she is talking to somebody completely unexpected. - After being told for years that the redshirts matter, they all get slaughtered by flaming arrows, well a few get killed by landmines, but the point is the all get killed. -Why is it that everything they had with them is along for the ride, but corpses are left behind? - Foreshadowing that Aaron and Ji Yeon might play/meet each other in the future. - Ben only having 70 hours and the something that supposedly is going to happen if he can’t bring them all back. *when this episode aired people tried to explain this and the thing we came up with was that the flashes also wipe people’s memories. So when Locke flashes away, Ethan’s memory of him meeting Locke gets wiped away. However later episodes make it abundantly clear that this is not the case. Unanswered Questions starting season 5 -How did Jack end up wanting to go back to the island, how did that progression go, for we were told about it by Darlton, but they never actually did the work of showing him go through a process that made him belief they had to go back. -Who were the assassins send after Sayid, did Widmore send them? (this was never ever confirmed) - Things that might make sense -Desmond meeting Faraday in the past on the island, might make sense for it is happening for Faraday and Desmond’s long somewhat strange time in the hatch combined with the inherent timey wimeyness of his brain. So yeah this could make sense.

-According to the Lost wiki Tom left the island from days 75-79 (in between leaving hydra island and being seen playing football with jack at the barracks) -Richard was interested in John because he met John in 5x3 Jughead in which John tells 1954 Richard he is their leader and will be born in 2 years, inviting him to come meet him -Sun blames Widmore for Jins death too, although Ben was more directly responsible and it was easy to turn WIdmore on Ben -There is no evidence that Ethan doesn't recognise Locke, he's never seen directly with Locke and wouldn't have brought it up anyway as it would blow his cover -no idea what you're trying to say here -Sayid still calls him Benthem in 5x1 after the reveal, the main reason everyone calls him Benthem is because that's what the paper says and because of the lie, as they are hiding the fact the other passengers are still alive. After Jack meets Ben and sees the body, and after everyone is on the run it makes sense they would go back to using Lockes real name (obviously its also just to not spoil the plot twist) -How often do you use peoples names when answering the phone? It's not uncommon to just call someone and say hi -Rose Bernard and Vincent survived the flaming arrows so it's possible other redshirts did offscreen, but yeah they mostly dead :'( -if you're referring to their clothes and stuff coming with them, it's so they weren't naked for half the season, corpses get left behind cause they're dead -Ben only has 70 hours cause thats when the Ajira flight leaves that will ultimately crash on the island. The reason he has to bring them back is because 'whatever happened, happened' and if they don't all go back in time, their past will be effected, the hatch will never be made and they will never crash on the island in the first place -Jack wants to go back to the island because of his need to 'fix' everything, after leaving the island he loses purpose and after Locke die Jack begins to adopt his way of thinking believing it's his destiny. Also because he's told that horrible things happened to the ones that were left behind such as Sawyer and Juliet

COMPLETE SEASON 5 SPOILERS I don't think that negates that. Richard visiting Locke at various stages I think connects to Locke telling him who he is later on and telling him when he's going to be born. I can see that. Admittedly I think it's forced, though she might blame Keemy for it along with Ben moreso. And may have plans against Widmore later, though it doesn't matter as I think it's not developed. Though how does she know Ben killed Keemy I think is the more pressing question? Whose to say Ethan didn't remember? And that wasn't among tge reasons Ben began to feel threatened by Locke after being told about and seeing Locke for himself? Though we don't actually get into Ethan's head or spend a lot of time with him to know what he thought about it. Not thoroughly explored though, yes. Why doesn't it make sense? Why? I think they may think they're being watched. But I think it's forced. I don't think the other season 4 questions are pressing. I get the impression Jack was triggered by Locke telling him that he's supposed to help him. Though I think that's basically a retcon of what Jack said Locke told him in tge season 4 finale.

@@tomg9901 Darlton said in an interview that Jack and Tom had days to become friends, but then in season 4 he is shown of the island. Also I used to contribute to lost wikia, so don't bring up what it says, I know all it says. -How Sun acts doesn't show her to be blaming him in the slightest, if she did blame him that approach would be totally different. -This would only make sense if they did this in the company of others, but they continuously use Bentham when nobody else is around, are they afraid of being bugged or something? -Yes but the way it is shown and plays out with the music and the cinematography makes it seems like it is somethign very stunning and possibly mindblowing who calls Kate. It is set up as if she might be getting a call from Sawyer. For when this aired many fans still wanted Sawyer to get off the island somehow, just like Locke did. -No Darlton confirmed all the redshirts were killed and Rose and Bernard intentionally avoided Sawyer's efforts to find them. - I am talking about the boat that somehow is along for the ride even when nobody it holding it, it didn't just move once when people were on it, it moved with them every time, through time. -If whatever happened happened, that time limit would not matter and another flight with them would just crash on the island in stead. -Yeah that is obvious, but my point stands, they didn't show him gradually progress to this point, he just suddenly was there and that is bad and lazy writing. Why KZread, you no notify me?

@@Dagenspear Did you go out of your way to miss all my points? Yes it connects but it doesn't make sense in relation to the narrative that preceded it. Ethan's behaviour and the behaviour of the other others does so. The others are amazed by John Locke for he can suddenly walk again, if somebody disappears right in front of you, you would remember that all your life (and that included the name the person told you he was) and tell it to your superior. Ben would know John was coming to he island before he did, he didn't. There not questions they are points, regardless of that you consider them pressing, they are evidence of the fact that Darlton were making it up on the fly and that this season sucks in comparison to the other ones.

There are myriad reasons why I have issues with Suraj's presence on this couch. While he has managed to stem some of the most egregious habits (actually letting loose spoilers), he seems incapable of being a responsible steward of his "advanced knowledge." 1:21"I don't think they had to lie." This is a fair opinion. But, it is informed by the rest of the events that he's seen transpire in future flash-forwards. Of course it's perfectly reasonable for a first-time viewer to take that position at this point and time of the show's storyline. But the fact of the matter is that Suraj is privy to the EVERYTHING that happened. And even if he had been of this opinion at this point of his original watch, that opinion was further cemented by future events. This was an unnecessary intrusion informed by hindsight. While most other veteran reactors might hold their tongue in the spirit of "better safe than sorry," Suraj seems to follow "why waste an opportunity to explain shit I already know?". 2:41 "I think he actually just sees dead people." Again, Suraj shares an observation/opinion informed by his knowledge of the rest of the series. It was perfectly reasonable for Rana to question the nature of Hurley's visions. In fact, the Lost writers are famous for trying to present scenarios with multiple possible explanations. This was information that Rana would've likely arrived at on her own, on her own schedule. And it would've been interesting to see her and Nikki try to analyze what was what based on what they remember seeing. Why? Because it's their natural reaction on their own personal journeys. 14:34 "There's pizza sauce on the wall." This is obviously not spoilery, but it's kinda cringey because it's not a natural, organic reaction on his part (and this happens A LOT). Obviously he remembered that scene and he likely found it hilarious in real time. But I guarantee that his reaction would've been different had he been alone during a rewatch of this episode. It would've been completely different. I don't doubt that seeing his friends erupt in uproarious laughter helped up his natural enjoyment of that scene. But it just seemed unnatural as he tries to be one of them while at the same time pointing out what details might make it extra funny. On their Breaking Bad reaction show, Nahid (the resident veteran reactor) finds himself genuinely reliving funny moments. But that seems natural and organic. And he laughs at what HE finds funny while never trying to direct the laughing newbie girls towards what he's laughing at. It's almost as if Nikki and Rana are high school football players enjoying their high school football experience and Suraj is a high school graduate who is longing for his playing days. Rather than simply letting them revel in their own excitement of their personal experience, he interjects his own "war stories" and imparts to them kernels of wisdom about the game (that they'll learn on their own on their own natural schedule). "Yeah, you kids may be enjoying your high school experience, but I'll tell you something I learned from my playing days (and after watching my personal game tapes multiple times)." 20:10 Here, Suraj did a really cool thing. He went and found the scene introducing Eloise to remind them of something they were supposed to have remembered. But where this intervention differs from his typical intervention is that he's CORRECTING something. He's not meddling in their current journeys with his personal perspectives from his completed one. He's guiding them towards something they were SUPPOSED TO KNOW, something they were supposed to react to, and something many, many people immediately recognized even before the face reveal. Clearly, the storytellers intended for Eloise to be recognized at that big reveal moment. Even if Suraj had simply said, "wait, you don't recognize her?", I wouldn't have found that objectionable. But not only did he refrain, he somehow managed to have them react in a roundabout way. For as much shit as I give him for a lot of his overly didactic "contributions," he knocked it out of the park with this one. I only wish the judgment he exercised there governed all the occasions where he feels compelled to blurt something out.
