Lost my father to Covid in 2020. Rooted for the lions his whole life. Him and I had a tough time bonding over much…but football always got us fired up together. He would have been so happy to see them where they are now. Go lions.

same... 45 years old... Barry Sanders was the only redeeming thing growing up as a Lions fan. Over the years I checked in here and there, but since I'm only a semi engaged sports fan to begin with, I only kept track of how much we lost year to year. (couldn't imagine being a fully engaged lions fan for the last 30 years LOL.) Glad to see the Lions as a viable football team for once.

That was the best victory the lions could have against Matt, against the defending champion, after 32 years without winning in postseason was incredible

Crazy to exchange quarterbacks and then meet up in the playoffs. Also a much better game than all the other wildcard blowouts.

I’m so happy for Jared Goff man. He got traded and everyone thought his career is over. Now here he is defeating his old team in the playoffs and getting the game ball for his efforts. With how things ended for him in Los Angeles, I’m really glad to see him wind up on a team that trusts and appreciates him so much. Even as a Saints fan it makes me happy to see how much both teams have benefited from the Stafford trade, and this really felt like it coming full circle. The Rams got their Super Bowl a couple years ago and are still staying relevant even when everyone thought they were finished, and for the Lions their success story is only just beginning. Hoping for great things for both teams in the future. What a time to be alive.

Comment I was looking for, both teams played a heck of a game, full of great effort and top-level plays, a genuine shame one team had to lose...this was more enjoyable than a lot of conference title games and dare I say some Superbowls !

@bermudafruit I was bored watching the Packers blow out the Cowboys I turned off the game. Though I later found out the Cowboys put up 32 points. Very good game as well. Chiefs embarrassed my Dolphins idk what they need to do to play in December and January. But I'm rooting for Detroit to win the NFC and as for the AFC Steelers, or basically anyone except KC lol

Been a Lions fan all my life - born in 1960. I was at their only previous playoff win in my lifetime - January of '92 at the Silverdome. Mannnnnnn, this was a long time coming! The city is fired up and thrilled we get another home playoff game next Sunday!

Love to see the Lions finally making a run, coming from a vikings fan. At the end of this season I will be rooting for yall, GO LIONS!

Same here, although the refs soured the mood by bailing out the Lions with all of those no-calls and late hits. But don’t get it twisted, glad the Lions snapped their playoff streak

@@TheHuskyK9 the refs helped the Rams keep it close. That Taylor Decker “false start” that was actually a Rams offsides was a potential 14 pt swing by the refs in the Rams favor. Idk how so many Rams fans forgot about the BIGGEST ref blunder of the game that helped them. Dont believe me? Google refs in this game. The headlines are that the Lions got hosed again, NOT the Rams. But since the questionable PI happened at the end thats all people want to remember. And thats common ref mistakes. Calling a possession flopping penalty on the WRONG team at the end of the half is FAAAAAR WORSE

Eagles fan here. If or when my team gets eliminated from the post season I'm rooting for the Lions. Congrats on the win! 🎉🎉🎉

That game was so good I felt it was a shame someone had to loose . No quarter was given and all player understood why. Man there was some heart on that field.

What do you think about the "false start" by the lions that looked to he an offside from the rams to me?

Rams fan here... You know what, I'm not mad. I would've loved for my Rams to win the game but the Rams were 3-6 at one point in the season and weren't supposed to be in the playoffs. They kept it close, unlike the other playoff games so far. Kudos to the Lions. I'm sure it feels good for Lions fans to see their beloved team win a playoff game, at home no less.
