One of my all time best memories is meeting Ness after a show probably almost 15 years ago now when he came to the uk. Really small intimate gig. Just came and chilled after. Few beers and games of pool. It was mainly filled with students from the university who just went to gigs just because it was hip hop so not a lot of people really new much about him. So when we started all chatting about his back catalogue and reciting some of his classic bars I guess he appreciated it.

Back in the day my man Mike from the BX put me on to Percee P way before his verse on "Yes You May." He used to tell me about this battle and cite Percee's rhymes. Finesse tore it down with bars but Percee P killed it with flows. They both won this battle because they did it for Hip Hop. Salute the Funky Man Lord Finesse! Salute the Rhyme Inspector Percee P! Salute Mike from the BX wherever you are, my brother!

Sorta but I'd argue that Percee had his own style. Imo the 3 distinct styles of that era were BDK/Rakim/Kool G Rap...Percee (again imo) had the 4th that not many recognized.
