Loosing it On a Phone

Ойын-сауық

The plaintiff alleges the defendants - her ex-husband and his new wife - stole her son's cell phone and destroyed it with a hammer, so she's suing. The defendants say the son in question isn't allowed to have access to the phone. Besides, they accidentally ran over the phone - they didn't destroy it on purpose.

Doesn't she?!? She has no business in the matter. Now, if you tell me she's respectful to the kids, and the parents, and she's been in their lives since maybe toddler age, then I might go easier on her. But, it's almost like she's enjoying the struggle and it's entertaining for her. Gross.

Kids need a certain degree of privacy even from their parents, and unless they were around and involved as a parent with that child from a young age, stepparents/parents’ partners need to be even more careful. A step parent has every right to discipline "someone else's" child. When taking on the role as a parent, that's part of the territory. Step parents aren't there just for decoration, and children should respect their authority, just as they should with others who regularly discipline "someone else's child" such as school teachers, police officers, bosses, etc. And from the sound of it, this child needs all the discipline he can get...did you not hear the predicament he's in because of his mother's lackluster approach to discipline? Sooner or later his discipline will come from a correctional officer.

The father needs to tell his wife to keep her mouth shut and stay out their Childs business. The child will resent his father because of her, you watch

The kid knew he brought over that phone. He was hiding it from his dad. Knew that his dad didn't want him to hide it. I have a feeling he will be working off the $200 in chores.

The father had no right to destroy the phone. It wasn't his phone.

I might be in the minority here but I’d be furious as the dad and while wrong, I understand him destroying the phone. He should have to pay for it. If my child had a court order to be off the internet….thinking about why a teenager would have a court order to have NO internet access…he shouldn’t have had that phone. Mom was being negligent.

THIS IS EXACTLY THE TRUTH^^^ Hes a great father and tried to HELP his son, mom is negligent and allowed certain behaviors and you are the first person on here to finally bring up “why a teenager is court ordered not to have a phone” THANK YOU.

The new wife doesn’t like his kids. You can tell that and her busting in the room shows that and the fact she doesn’t care to build a positive relationship with him. wtf is she busting in his room! I feel for the kids because if dad gets full custody she’s going to treat them bad.

Stepmommy needs to slow her role. I understand that that is her house too but she really needs to back off. She’s way overstepping.
