Loose Style Owl in Watercolor

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Today's video I share my experience creating this Loose Style Owl using Watercolor. Watercolor is a new medium to me and this is only my second piece I have completed without a tutorial.
Working out the intricacies of watercolor is a bit of a challenge as it tends to have a mind of its own. So understanding how it moves and how much lighter it dries is something that I need to get used to.
Overall I am happy with the results and look forward to working with more watercolor and creating looser style works.

Don't know if I've ever seen a painting where it looked as complete half way through as this did at the end. Either way this owl was/is very nicely done!🧡👍 Love owls.

This is gorgeous. My favorite brush is my tiniest just like the one you use here to place details. I also use my 1/2” brush a lot to put tons of color down :-) thanks for Sharing

Thanks so much. Those brushes to put detail really make a difference don’t they? I also try to put a lot of color in quickly. Feels like your actually getting somewhere and made progress quickly.

Awwwe thanks so much. Yes there are lots I can not do. Trust me. I have a video coming out the end of November that I share my struggle with oil pastels. It was going so wrong I just had to laugh at the whole process I took and the voice over is well. Let’s just say a bit out of the norm 😉. At some point you just have to sit back and laugh at the whole process just to keep you sane.

Is there anything she can’t do? She can’t use human portraits as an excuse anymore. Can we all say, “Overachiever”? 😆
