Michael Vick said he grew up wanting to be Steve Young. Just think about that for a second. Whenever people forget or doubt Steve's greatness, I just bust that line out that I heard Mike say in an interview a while back. Definitely helps to put it in perspective for sure; Steve was an OUTSTANDING athlete

Who's here after the Niners go up to get number 3 pick in the draft and they could get another BYU Prospect in Zach Wilson.

He's vastly superior athlete to anyone now and certainly a better quarterback

@Kevin Kelly Steve Young could run a 4.5 and dunk like an NBA player. Doubt Patrick Mahomes can do that.

    @@Lundahlium Mahomes 4.8 40. I was surprised. I thought at least 4.6.

What does he mean by throwing a football by not spinning it out of the hand but throwing it out?

I guess flicking it out of the hand focusing on the spin, rather than the full motion of pushing it while flicking to bring more velocity to the throw.

Young would spin it coming out of his hand to get a spiral. Kind of like a hand slapping motion. He learned from McMahon that it should be thrown like a knuckleball. Two fingers pushing forward into the ball away from the hand. Young said it gave him 10x the velocity and accuracy

He was over-adjusting to create a spiral instead of letting it come natural with his throw.

I did too until Taysom Hill another former BYU Cougar...Steve on a Dan Patrick show said basically he'll miss the game, comeraudery, but that it was just a game as His brother wasnt as good at BYU and became a Doctor and night before the show helped save someones life and Steve said I just won a game in comparison. He went on to do Forever Young foundation. I felt they didnt want small markets to get to finals as another reason I stopped watching
