Mine is from Joanne’s and it’s really not a perfect match for color or level of fluffiness. It’s just a fur fabric from the costume section I think. Felt also is used sometimes

Tuesday Herrera honestly furby babies are really easy to match because baby blankets are plentiful lol it seems stupid but I got a decent match at a dollar store and it was the perfect amount of fabric I needed for 3 feet

wow your so passionate about furbys. i really gota say thats kinda admireable as i have passions for things such as mlp and latias. im not into the furby fandom but i did know about these long ones and i found a broken one at the donation center i work at so id thought id test my sewing skills in something that sounds like a bunch of fun such as this :D keep your passion :)

Wish she would have answered this. It looked like a bottle was sitting on the table & I suspect it was some kind of glue. On other videos I've watched they used a hot glue gun.

playhooky i ended up using super glue. it’s worked great so far with all the bending

My plan to make two long furbies based off of characters from My Hero Academia, because I’m a hopeless weeb. Their names will be Chicken Nugget and Hotshot. I think a black furby with purple patchwork all over would just be really cool looking. And if I’m honest, a red winged furby with yellow eyes would be very beautiful.

It is indeed, but if you want to remove the mechanics then you’ll need to paint or otherwise make new eyes, My furby Jester Bumfuzzle Peanut Ramsay was made with a furby Boom and has custom eyes

im kinda having trouble understanding the pattern. what are the measurements?

I'm currently making one that's 5ft tall cause I'm extra af, but I have to dye the furby and so far I've resorted to colouring the fur with felt pen to match the extra fur I bought:( The fur for the furby was like a cream with brown patches and I didn't wanna bring it around with me until it was done and the only place near me sold only solid colours so I just was like ITS FINE ILL DYE IT. Wish me luck pls x

Would a 1/8" spine work instead of a 1/4" spine? They don't sell 1/4" inch spines anymore.

probably! it may not stand up independently very well but it should work!

i want to make a long furby soon and this was incredibly helpful lol One quick question though, how does length work with the spines? If I am making a furby longer than a foot do I need to get several spines that are a foot, how does this work I do not understand!

Look for a place that says they ship the spine material to you as one unit. I'm currently working on a long Furby (only on painting the faceplate/sewing new peets for it RN), and I ordered the ball jointed armature (aka spine material) from CR"s Crafts. I ordered 3x 1 ft. sections, and they sent it in one long 3 ft. piece. Will say ordering from them was weird, as I didn't get a confirmation/shipping email, but I got the material itself within a few days. There's someone on eBay that sells it as well.

There are multiple options, if you want it to be posable you could use wire, but if you don’t than you could just not use a spine

There's people who sell 3d printed/resin furby buddy faceplates if you can't afford a furby buddy or don't wanna tear one apart! There's one on etsy who is selling printed ones and @walrus-furbs on tumblr who sells custom colored resin ones.
