You know, this had to be hard for Marcus. He’s helping actors portray his friends and the scenes where they’re in battle and watching the actors get “shot” in front of him had to of been hard. Not to mention Peter Berg wanted the actors to look as closely as they could to Mark, Axe, Danny, and Mikey. Marcus Lutrell has my uttermost respect.

I know these guys are already lucky to be movie stars. But to be with Marcus and other seals and having them teaching you somethings is priceless!!! SEALS are insane. I'm reading Marcus's other book service and it's nuts! If these guys ain't in war fighting they are practicing for something else or another mission. I mean this is the gods honest truth these guys never and i mean never stop. The only time they stop is when there lucky enough to go home for a couple of days to see there families.
@BostonsF1nest
5 жыл бұрын
SEALs actually have one of the highest divorce rates amongst first time marriages out of any job occupation because they’re gone 90% of the time... the divorce rate is like 80% it’s insane... not to mention when they do come home a lot of the stuff they were involved in while they were away they can’t even talk about so it’s like you literally just exist to your family probably 30 days out of the year if that, and calls and texts here and there while you’re deployed... it’s a tough lifestyle.

I wouldnt believe much of what Marcus says in his books or movie he lies to make himself the hero when actually he never fired a bullet and was found without his gun and all his full clips 11.
The hard work making this film is not respected enough. Great job to everyone who made it happen.
Lone survivor was one of the few movies I had to actually cry!
Peter Berg is really a great director and works with the best actors to make great movies.
What was funny about this movie was 5’7 Mark Wahlberg playing 6’5 Marcus Luttrell

Isaac Powers he didn’t fail training, he was peered out by the instructors. That means once you make it through you get an evaluation from the course instructors and he said he was too confident going through the training which the instructors didn’t like, this happens a lot and accounts for 15% of all people who don’t make it through. He is a D-head sure but still served, more than someone like @Alex Z who makes comments. As well Tyrece Gibson paid 3 million to be in transformers, Anne Hathaway paid to be in Batman, it happens a lot, he did say he never paid but idk, I really don’t carry about that. I hate people talk trash on someone who actually went through it.
Eric bana is a professional. All his work on screen is top shelf.
i keep on watching this movie several times..i salute all of you guys!!

Ben Foster is so underrated as an actor. This movie and Alpha Dog, also with Emile Hirsch who is also very talented, made me realize how good he really is. I did not know Matthew Axelson, but he made me believe and I am sure others too, the real man. The whole cast was great.
Great effects on this movie and very sad
What's even better about this movie is that the guy helping them out with all of it is the same man who experienced the events in this movie.
The guy advising them (with the tats & beard & dark glasses in teh firest 2 scenes) is the REAL DEAL, a SEAL hero from Iraq.

Christian Dinero Blanks will cycle the bolt if you install a BFA. They’re not using the BFAs I’m familiar with so I can’t answer your question but I figured I could tell you about that much at least
Modern day classic war movie that’s it’s also about real heroes. It’s not just the ones lost in the firefight, it was a tragedy when Murph finally got the call through for QRF and died doing so the QRF chinook helicopter took an RPG round and killed all onboard. R.I.P
I new Marcus was in the movie some where.
7:58 what kinda dust is that person putting on Taylor Kitsch (Mike Murphy).
@Biscuitchris7again
9 жыл бұрын
I can't think of what it's called but there is an inert dust mix that some sfx houses use. It's really fine and is that same color so it's probably it. You can use unbleached flour for dust effects (dusty furniture), the only downside is that flour dust is combustible and potentially explosive... but it does look great as your run of the mil house dust.

+Kamarul Ariffin its a combat or tactical reload- when you dont have time to put the empty mag into drop bag or a pouch you just dont do it. Most of time in a situation like this (in deep shit) when every second counts you just load another one and dont care about empties. What is more important- your life or 30$ magazine ?
