London's Soho Italian Connection with Sicilian Chef Enzo Oliveri cooking meatballs
London's Soho has attracted Italians for over 100 years. Originally Italian immigrants fleeing the wars around the time of Garibaldi.
Joolz takes a walk with the famous Sicilian Chef Enzo Oliveri who shows him how Soho has changed over the years..
They visit Bar Italia with its Gaggia coffee machine from the 1950s and Gino's Barbers along with I Camisa Delicatessen.
Enzo buys food and teaches us how to make meatballs with penne, Al Pacino's favourite dish, outside Enzo's Kitchen, his restaurant in Panton Street, London.

Enzo was a very colorful and personable character.
My two most favorite countries in the world are England and Italy. When I didn't know which language to choose, my teacher said why choose, learn both.Complimenti autori!
Bravo-- Enzo! I went to his restaurant in 2018-- I'd just picked up my show ticket from the Pinter Theatre just over the road, and had about 45 minutes before the performance. I sat at the bar and was treated like family, and fed some truly delicious things... and I was settled happily in my theatre seat in plenty of time for the play. Amazing place-- Thanks for reminding me of it! I'll happily eat there again when I'm next in London.
Who else hits the "like" button before watching a new Joolz Guide? Thanks Joolz! You've made my Sunday a success already!

@@Joolzguides Nah bro, thanks from aus
And just when I think that Joolz's is the man in London, along comes Enzo! He's lovely! (you too J, really)
Excellent video! I am from Argentima, but my surname, as you can read, is a Sicilian one. When I went to London some years ago, my friend and I went to an Italian Trattorìa in the Soho. Since my friend doesn' look Italian, they didn't speak Italian with him, but they did with me! Before even saying "good evening", the waitress -looking so Italian too- told me "CIAO, COME STAI? COSA PRENDI?"... I couldn't believe it, the atmosphere at the restaurant was so warm that I felt home, just like at my Italian grandparents in Argentina. I love Italian culture, I love London, and I love Italian people living anywhere! Thank you, Joolz, for making this video!!

This video was very enjoyable. I like the Italian man, he is lovely and friendly.
I'm certain most that have viewed this (and will view this) will get a faceache from smiling and desire some savoury Italian from viewing this. Mangia!
Grazie, non avevo mai guardato questo episodio, grazie Giulio 🙏 i am learning english with your wonderful episodes, London is beautiful, it is such a city full of culture and history! thank you for teaching us, I appreciate you
I love eating out, Italian or French... This looked like heaven.
ENZO IS GORGEOUS !!
Ahhh my two favorite things, Joolzy and Italian food.
U clearly need to do longer videos to grow this channel. These are amazing!!! Just need them to be over 10 mins each if not get in contact with Netflixs!! The world would love these let alone the Brits!
Just a joy. Every Sunday, cup of pipin' hot coffee, Joolz Guides.....and this is coming from someone who went to school in the 90's and hates Sunday afternoons. I still have PTSD any time I hear the theme tune to Antiques Roadshow, Heartbeat, Last of the Summer Wine!!! I'm in my late 30s!
Lovely video Jools. I love the Italian accent, especially mixed with slight "cockney" english, makes it funny. " inear," instead of " in here".
Two years late to the blog, but it was nice to see a "Little Italy" in London. Mi avete fatto piacere a guardare voi girando da posto a posto nel Soho. La musica, la gente, e le cose di magiare e bere. Ho sentito come ero a Napoli ancorra. Ciao di America! E mangiate un po' per me!
Tremendous ............... We will visit that Italian Restaurant next time were in London ................Top Man Jules
I worked for Camisa back when they had a small restaurant in Hampstead Heath.
Bravo Enzo, as always the best Italian cuisine is made with simple ingredients cooked with skill. Greetings from Italy.
Please oh please do another soho video and absolutely include Enzo. Maybe even do an entire video of just Enzo cooking various things and recommending which wine to have with which dish.
Surprised the BBC haven't snapped you up as a presenter.

My Italian/Cyprian American heart is signing watching this, and my stomach is rumbling. As much as I have a good life in the US, I wish I lived in overseas. Feels like something is missing.
Loved it. So nice of him to cook for you. Outside was fun.
Enzo Oliveri seems to be such a humble bloke. Another top vlog Joolz....keep them coming.
Another great video. Although I grew up in London, I always learn something new from your videos Joolz 👍👍
Great video, love the italian english accent
So delightful to see chef Enzo cooking outside. I got some cooking tips and travel tips for when I come to London. Can't wait to go into these italian shops. Thank you!
@Joolz Guides - Julian, this guy told you nearly everything wrong, i m Italian and i believe he s just originally from Italy but never really lived there! Spaghetti with meatballs is not an italian dish, i m not sure where it is originated from but i ve heard somewhere it is something created by Italian Americans, something that could remind them of beef ragù when the real beef ragù was not available in america. You would NEVER fry ravioli in butter, they shouldn t be fried and the butter shouldn t become too hot when serving the dish. Finally, for heavens sake, Nero D'Avola doens mean 'black devil', that guy doesn t even know in Sicily there s a city called Avola and 'Nero D'Avola' means 'black from Avola'! please brother correct everything in this video, because your tours are always so much informative and properly documented, this one is spoiling OUR italian reputation. Thank you!

My Bolognese sauce has been cooking now for five hours, since this morning. Another three hours then I will enjoy. Italian cooking is like marriage.
