    in my elo it works more often than not (1100-1200). i myself (from looking) would have played a move and hung a bishop thinking it's mate at 8:22. took my solid 2 minutes to figure it out but *maybe* i'd think twice there. when i'm attacking i usually think like 10x about every move so *maybe* ...

    His voice is angelic and calming. Its a different kinda hype. Also he taught me not to rush. I know this sounds dumb as fuck but i use to play a move almost instantly, picking natural moves and not really thinking it through and that made me lose intrest in the game. Found Eric a few years ago now and ever since my time management is way better and i actually think moves through and have multiple ideas rather than multiple losses lol

    @3:07 there's a very pretty alternative line instead of Nc3: b4! If Qxb4, then c3! Black cannot take the bishop because of Nxd6, so black instantly loses a piece and has a collapsed position.

    8:20 could have gotten the queen. Instead of pawn to d4, knight to a4, forcing the black queen to capture it and then white bishop captures the queen....or am i missing smth?!?

    In the line that you are speculating, black's next best move is to capture the bishop (Kxb5) since the knight you just moved is no longer protecting it.

    after queen d6, knight a4 should work... it wins the queen on the spot, the bishop isn't hanging because it's check with the knight..

    At 3:01, I thought that black would take the knight. Yet Eric clearly didn't think that was an option for black, and black didn't take it. So I put the position into a Stockfish online site, gave Stockfish its highest (on that site) level of 2900, and it took the knight. So why not take the knight?

    Can anyone say why at around 10:45 he didn't move his pawn to d5 then either taking the knight, or the opponent taking his pawn and him mating. Or am I missing something
