in my elo it works more often than not (1100-1200). i myself (from looking) would have played a move and hung a bishop thinking it's mate at 8:22. took my solid 2 minutes to figure it out but *maybe* i'd think twice there. when i'm attacking i usually think like 10x about every move so *maybe* ...

His voice is angelic and calming. Its a different kinda hype. Also he taught me not to rush. I know this sounds dumb as fuck but i use to play a move almost instantly, picking natural moves and not really thinking it through and that made me lose intrest in the game. Found Eric a few years ago now and ever since my time management is way better and i actually think moves through and have multiple ideas rather than multiple losses lol

My respects to IM Rosen. His teachings are quite good if we consider that he is just a human being. He is not at my same level in chess (3600 rated), but he is very clear to teach mere mortals.

@3:07 there's a very pretty alternative line instead of Nc3: b4! If Qxb4, then c3! Black cannot take the bishop because of Nxd6, so black instantly loses a piece and has a collapsed position.

At 3:01, I thought that black would take the knight. Yet Eric clearly didn't think that was an option for black, and black didn't take it. So I put the position into a Stockfish online site, gave Stockfish its highest (on that site) level of 2900, and it took the knight. So why not take the knight?
