Loma Linda, California. The Oldest People In The World

Ойын-сауық

USA. Statistics shows that one in 5000 Americans lives to the age of 100 years with the exception of California, a sunny state on the western coast of the US. The state's longevity metrics are bigger because of the small town of Loma Linda. Today this city with the population of 20 thousand people can easily be called the American capital of centenarians.

You’re right . More and more Western researchers acknowledge that the Chinese elderly live healthy and longer thanks to their children , grandchildren live with them and take care of them . The Russian retirees have the highest rate of suicide on the world , because of living alone , especially Russia has too many days of coldness .

My granny lived to be 99. She lived in her own home till her death. She lived a very clean and active life. She would walk 3 miles just to pay her electric bill. She never drove. She never drank or smoked. I’m sure her body didn’t hurt as bad as mine does at 56. She was the best woman I ever knew. Had her in my life till I was was 40. Miss her so much.

Our current days are rough. Our diet plus marketed lifestyle is definitely pressing us hard. Too much processed food, stress for money to buy things we basically don't need at all, add Media programmings and anxiety, I think someone needs to be smart to escape modern negative styles. Lol. I cheer you up to your 99th birthday too❤️

I eat a meat based diet I have aged very slowly still look like i'm in my early 20s,(33yo) most likely i'll live to 100-110 or so... it's amazing how fast the human body recovers on a meat based diet

Eat 80% veggies and make meat as a side dish or eat meat on your feast day only. It’s not the cow but it’s a “how” Meaning…. “How the cow was treated” Grass fed is always the best choice & giving the cows the right to roam around the farm. They should be surrounded by many grass. I personally love wild caught fish & pasture raised chicken and eggs. I get omega 3 from the real source like wild caught fish! But I don’t eat meat everyday because I learned to love veggies & fruits. Avocado and sweet potato are my main top food.

The Russian professor works in an American university, but you needed to interpret his Russian speech? Why didn’t he speak English? I suspect he teaches in English. Just curious. I hope Mr. Charpentier gets visitors other than curious people and researchers. Maybe the centenarians aren’t anomalies. Maybe everyone should be living that long. My mother was 84 and my father 96 years when they passed on. My father was always curious and learning new things. He was always active. Gordon Lithgow looked older than 50. He needs to utilize his research. The doctor who had TB and recovered on his own has a very stoic, and perhaps unique, immune system. The Russian scientist said to have a career that, literally pulls you into longevity...only the doctor spoke of his career. None of the others talked career. Something was left out of this video, the centurion’s careers.

I've read the latest comments, and I would like congratulate all the elder people out there. But! I identify as a Seventh Day Adventist since I was little, and despite these brothers and sisters at Loma Linda have lived and continue to live longer than average, there's better than that! Is it great to live longer? Of course! Specially in good conditions. But these 100 years are nothing compared to what God has to offer each one of you; soon (only He knows when) this world will arrive to its end as we know it, and Jesus Christ will do all things new and He invites you (and me) to live forever and ever. Death is an intruder; no one in normal conditions wants to die, and we weren't created to die! Death has took both my parents away some years ago, and for my father I'm not so sure, but I believe I will encounter my mother once again. For the moment she's resting until Jesus comes, but she will rise again! My wish is that you can have this same hope, in Jesus Christ's name, Amen.

My great grandmother, born 1889, lived to 106. The folks that are 100 years old now (2021 when video posted) were born in the early 1900's up to early 1920's. Their mothers ate whole foods, and what was available in season. They were born vaginally, being gifted with the mother's microbiome. Their formative years (up to 18) were lean but good. Throw in a few wars and all that impact there was obviously less food (think involuntary fasting) and certainly there was no snacking culture. If we're looking to mimic a healthy diet and lifestyle, we need to go back to the first 18 years of these folks' lives. Dan Buettner didn't seem to take that logic into account. I feel for the children born in the 70's and 80's to mothers who were following the 'dietary and lifestyle' guidance of the governments of the time (which is still the dogma of today).
