    Age is just a number. The right attitude, exercise for mind and body, continued curiosity about everything, healthy eating, a connection with Nature and one other element make one balanced and healthy in the truest sense. That last element is love. To love and be loved truly and deeply is the source of all joy in life. And if it’s not love for or from a human companion or family, make sure you age in the loving company of animals, who are pure souls.

    Thank you so much for sharing this to all of us. This decade is all about healthy aging and this video is amazing because it gives so much tips so that you can live longer. They highlight a healthy diet which allows us to maintain high levels of energy and absorb the numerous nutrients we need to stay healthy. They also have hobbies or things they do which allows them to reduce your stress which matters as it lessens the weight on one's mental and physical health. Sleep is also something important that they discuss since this is where we get our energy and recover. They even talk about maintaining good healthy social relationships which help us mentally and emotionally because we're social beings and this allows us to learn from each other and be there with each other in tough times which lessens the stress as well. Overall, it's such a comprehensive video tackling so much tips that are crucial for healthy aging. Thank you so much to all of you for being great inspirations for us in Reviving Mind, giving us more energy to continue helping older adults live their best lives happy and healthy together with our health and wellness coaches.

    The more I look into the blue zones the more convinced I am that it is not about “what they do.” Then we hear “I drink milk, I eat eggs and drink wine and Pepsi, which is important.” The truth is even these people don’t know. I am convinced that it has to do with the energy of the zone. Nothing geo-political here but rather “geo-health and longevity.” As they say “move here and you will live longer”. True.

  • @Pittsburghestatesale
    @Pittsburghestatesale Жыл бұрын

    One thing that seems apparent to me is that these people are wealthy, or at the very least, financially secure. Stress over managing a budget on social security and a modest pension can lead health problems. Not having enough money to make ends meet let alone live your retirement dreams is not something that many senior citizens can control. I have seen so many sad endings where elderly people just gave up because they were just unable to sustain even while trying to live healthy lifestyles. God bless everyone ... all the advice these people gave is excellent otherwise.

    Good catch. Another one is they live in clean environment. There should be a fair comparison with others who eat less vegetables also in similar environment with same stress level, family condition but again the food should be whole foods and processed and their entire history from childhood habits for all participants must be known with any hereditary diseases in family. I do not see what applies to Loma Linda will work for all. And one basic factor influencing outcome is exactly what you said. I want to meditate daily but as soon as I sit I find it hard when my nerves are irritated and I feel I have to pee. No vegetables resolves the problem and just to be clear I was vegan last year too and had same issues. Yet animal food healed it. Praying is good but when you have a disease your prayer is your screaming at God in anger and pain.

  • @karunamayiholisticinc

    @karunamayiholisticinc

    And comparison should be really really fair in controlled manner. It might be a good idea to pay some people to move into Loma Linda and then organize control study. Moreover this video will lead to further problems for many in vegan community with biased information. Because again they are doing things when they are in right health to do something and keep it maintained. Exercising is good. Worse is bad information. Trust me there are more blue zones than what have been discovered. I am sure there are long living people in many other places in the world. There is also supposed to be less disease in many hilly regions in India. Air quality, amount of processed foods, amount of exercise, all matters. But it is not the only thing. I do not trust blue zones. There is a blue zone famous for drinking alcohol and considering it nectar of longevity. so how does that information help people elsewhere in the world? I want to see all these people move out of Loma Linda and do the same. This is why longevity studies must be researched way more and in many other places in the world not with observational studies but strict randomized trials on large scale by group of doctors who do not believe in one philosophy or agenda. Soon enough I will also find out what works best for me. But I am very clear today news is fake and biased and when questioned about it, the biased ones gives no answers. If these people parents died early with heart attack then I want to know every single detail of their life before coming up with one conclusion which most biased doctors would say is vegetables and that is utter rubbish. Because vegetables can also cause kidney stones and many vegans will become proof of that down the road. Really these videos are misleading for me and quite frustrating because not everyone can live the life like they are living. And what is the sole purpose of their life? Everything in moderation is key. Purpose is key to live long wherever you may be and destiny is the cause of it. Genes are not your destiny. Yet those proclaiming that fail to tell us why PCRM famous vegan dietician died in 50s after following healthy lifestyle. Was her purpose that weak? I think so because she spread a lot of lies in ignorance because she knew she could not prove any of her ignorant words. However, I admire and respect video of a 100 year old brain doctor who says reason for his long life is his purpose to keep going and working and with lifestyle "Everything in moderation and no smoking". Anything promoted to extreme is lethal information for masses. This is why what suits blue zones should be well studied everywhere. There are blue zones who ate dairy, who ate sea food and still are famous for drinking alcohol. So let's be honest is everyone everywhere living same lifestyle. I have read on quora and other places where people commented of their relatives who were 7th day vegan adventists died at the end with cancer. So we clearly need more unbiased information today. I hear all of this and I think Oh eating too many vegetables is nectar for long life when it might not be true for me at this time or at least it is NOT the only nectar for me and definitely NOT what can HEAL me and surely only aggravating symptoms. We need a lot more research by unbiased ethical researchers on longevity, disease prevention, management, etc who are not one sided in a box saying one size should fit all.

    Slowly building up your gut bacteria will help with the bloat. Slowly add in fruits and veggies. If your body was used to eating a lot of meat, it had to adapt to that, & that would be why it gets bloated with fruits and veggies. Slowly switching over will help your body adjust to a healthier diet.

    Ikarians and Sardinians are Catholics and I think the Nicoya are. The Okinawans also have their own religions including Animism and Shinto. These have been influenced by other religions in Japan. Certainly the Catholics celebrate the festivals, follow the rules of Lent. But they also have a vivacity and joy in life I just didn’t get from Loma Linda. There is also a problem with opioids in Loma Linda.

    Yes, Loma Linda has a large population of Seventh Day Adventists. The religion believes in prioritizing health, by eating mainly plants, little meat, and doing exercise. They also have a good medical center there.

    The hardest part about running? Putting on your running clothes, and closing the front door behind you. If you do that, the rest is a piece of cake.

    Many SDA do not use that word. I prefer plant-based verbiage myself and I am strictly no animal products for health reasons. @GeneralArmorus
