The fact that it was seen as a GOOD idea to name a subculture or fashion after a book about a pedo tells me everything I need to know. Good example of why I avoid anime and manga. So much pedo bait.

lolita fashion isnt pedo bait though, lolita fashion originated from japan, so its safe to say whoever thought of the name didnt entirely understand the origins of the name 'lolita'- also theres a lot of safe anime out there! it sucks to reduce an entire countries art and animation to being "so much pedo bait", the vid just covers a few examples for the sake of the topic ^^

Extremely fascinating....and unnerving as well I must admit! But wow, you have a fantastic story-telling style about you 🤗. I so enjoyed the richness in history you researched for us for the sometimes strange enigma that has surrounded the name for hundreds of years. From all proof apparent, "Lolita" absolutely has the rest of the world's equivalent of France's je ne sais quoi. 🩵💜🩷
