Roughly 4 years ago the switches gave out on my original go pro wireless and I relied on one of your vids to replace the microswitches. I've been following your channel ever since and have enjoyed modding so many mice alongside your various projects. When the GPX S2 was announced I told myself I wouldn't read a word about it until you uploaded your teardown and I got your thoughts on it. So stoked for this video, thanks BeardedBob! :)

Thanks for sharing this! I've been pondering moding a gaming mouse into a custom printed body similar to the MX Vert. Nobody currently makes a gaming vert mouse that's competent. This piece having the sensor and buttons on different boards would make a rather good candidate. Cheers!

I bought a hot swap pcb board and a few switches for my Superlight 2. What height scroll wheel encoder and 2 pin switch I need? Do I need to soldier those too?

Hi dude! Wondering if you could tell us the scroll wheel measurements?...Im thinking of swapping mine Pulsar X2 but we have just GPROX scroll wheel rubber available on the market and it doesn't indicate the diameter size... Tks

Superlight 1 has a well known scroll wheel issue. Seems like they changed the sensor there

Decided to put a 1500mAh inside my Superlight 1... and silent switches (left and right only) man it's awesome now... I don't need it to be super duper light, 86g is light enough for me :) Oh and some rubber grips, really nice 👌

on my V1 the thumb buttons are really getting bad :/ need to press really hard for them to make contact

My question that no reviewer seems to touch on … are the new hybrid/optical switches faster when playing a FPS game or are they the same as the original Superlight? That really is the main difference in the two different versions of the mouse but nobody ever seems to review that aspect of the two. Why damnit why??? 😁

can you replace the hybrid swiches from the gpx2 with optical.? if yes, do you have any suggestions.?

Thats what I wonder about. Those oryginal switches are super loud. I wonder if you can just put standard mechanical switches.

There are some different mount points but worth checking the teardown it compares them and the pcb,base

by making a modification it is possible to add an extra side button to the g pro superlight 2 instead of two side switches 3 ??

No, the pcb doesn’t have the input. You would need another pcb that has a free one or like a g502 3 side buttons

Can the GPX 2 PCB be placed onto a GPX 3D printed base? I have an extra and adding that onto the new GPX 2 would be huge!

Could you swap the sensor from the g pro x superlight 2 into the gpro x superlight? To potentially take advantage of the 2000 HZ polling rate but keep the same switches? I might be way off here but just a thought 🤔

Or maybe an adapter for the gprp x superlight pcb connector? I'm trying to see if there is a way I can use the new sensor without losing the kailh GM 8.0 switches in my original superlight haha

No as the pcb is different. If you mean swap the pcb’s around maybe, though I think I tried this on stream and it wasn’t the same so a new base is needed

Logitech MX anywhere probably has a compatible 500mAh battery, although you will need to check the polarity (just in case) to make it work before plugging in.

@@frieza1016Yeah that is definitely important, though I am comfortable terminating my own batteries. The middle sense wire seems important for Logitech batteries.

this optical you can use another optical version but its very hard, I've swapped a few... but other brands you can't atm.

they have moved a few position for the posts and screws, u can't swap the bases

Yep at least we can still change that

so still no proper battery retention system. again every battery will fall down and go somwhere within the case. now we have to find aftermarket skates before we have to open and repair that .... all that for double the price on amazonia

wish I didnt spend $300 cad on a defective V1, I hate giving logitech money for making defective products.

the textured finish on the bottom sides is a downgrade and they obviously did it to save cost. Atrocious for a mouse that costs 50 euros more than the previous one which was also overpriced
