Ionce had a wasp sting my face in the middle of a deadlift set. It crawled around on my face and stung me again on my forehead and around my nose. I was determined to not miss a rep in that set, I was being trained by George Leeman at the time and didn’t want to let him down. I was 16 in highschool.

Big z makes the smith machine look manly

I wish people would let Z talk in Lithuanian. His English is good but you can tell he struggles when speaking it. Just put on subtitles it's worth it to listen to the king

Impressive, I weigh 65 kgs and he's way, way more flexible than I am. He Incline presses the log, looks at the ceiling, amazing

His warm up weight is more that my max.

Apparently the idea that the z-press is named after Zydrunas and that he advocates for the exercise is wrong and what he actually meant was the seated smith machine press. Still the z-press is a fantastic accessory for stability and mobility for the overhead press, which is great for the bottom of the movement. The seated smith machine press seems to be ideal for improving the midrange of the press and increasing the size and strength of the anterior delts.

Just look at all his Rekords in Strongman.

What angle on smith press? 60 or 75?

He lost a lot of weight just a few years ago and looked to have gained muscle mass. He looks like he gained most of his weight back now.

Weak triceps. He actually pushes with the chest. When he really isolates the triceps the weight is very small. Strongman contests should test arms more. By now, they test more but and legs and low back. It is more about lifting things and carrying things and you can do that having weak arms.

@@strongmantalk6043 Using chest more instead of shoulders and triceps. And technique. Olympic weightlifters with proper technique lift even more (butt goes down and arms go straight, then they do a squat in fact not a push). There are bodybuilders that use more weight in arms training. But no one is very strong in all departments.

@@strongmantalk6043 Talakhadze pushes 264 kg above his head. Does he have stronger arms than strongmans? Not really. Momentum from legs. Technique. Big Z makes also momentum and look, he pushes with his chest. It is almost "bench" press but standing.
