Loch Ness featuring castles, forests, camping, boat trips, canals, stunning scenery and...monsters?
It's mid-October 2021 and we head out of the city for a last-minute weekend trip to Scotland's most legendary loch. Join us as we explore the banks of Loch Ness, including Urquhart Castle, The Falls of Foyers, The Caledonian Canal at Fort Augustus, and a sneaky wee cruise on the dark mysterious waters of Nessie's home aboard the Jacobite Warrior. We even camped in a forest on the loch side at Dores, but will we find our way back to the tent after an impromptu trip to the pub? There's only one way to find out...
Prices:
50 minute Loch Ness Cruise: £18 each
Castle visit: Approx £9 each
Camping on the shore at Loch Ness: Priceless!

The Falls of Foyers: Breathtakingly beautiful! 👍❤
You two present a really down to earth video of what makes your country so interesting
Said it before and I'll day it again, Scotland is great with sunny weather but is comes alive on s grey drizzly day. That low cloud slowly passing through the tops of the trees it actually gave me goosebumps when you drove down to loch Tarff with that exact weather. I'll show the wife this tonight and she'll be wanting to get up to loch Ness in October sometime. Excellent vlog again showing the world's greatest country......well I would say that.🤗🏴🇳🇱

"To spend a penny you have to pay 50 cents! That's a quid for the two of us!" I ken it'll make a Scotsman's heart bleed but it's worse! It's £1,02! Those steps you heard at night were no ghosts or monsters. You were in a catholic region there, remember. That was the priest making sure nothing immoral happened in that tent! Beautiful video once again! Loved it! Very nice choice of music.

I so enjoyed this Steve and Alicja. You do make me laugh! The night noises in the forest - possibly badger, hedgehogs, pine marten, owls, they're all nocturnal. I recognised some of the route and shots because I was up there in 2019. Once you get off the main road on the north side you'll find Glen Affric, great for Scots pine, Glen Garry too. Glad you enjoyed yourselves and that food looked yummy, tho I prefer haggis, Neeps and Tatties without sauce! What you doing next? Take care. 👍🤗

I remember visiting Urquart Castle during the 1980s. It was approaching closing time and the keeper was just checking everyone was leaving. As he approached where I was sitting, I commented upon how peaceful it was. Whereupon 3 black RAF jets ripped past making the most appalling noise and he commented, “Not always!” With a smile.

It’s lovely to see some familiar grounds again Steve from our touring days, we visited the famous Loch Ness several times over a forty year period, we also had boat trips out on the loch, one thing you would never find us doing was camping in the woods at night! I think it’s time for you and Alicja to find a more comfortable option, I remember standing looking out at the loch from Urquhart Castle and it’s magical setting as clear as day, we never did see Nessie though, just a few dark shadows and rippling water that could have been mistaken for him! My imagination ran wild when you found the Clan Fraser Cemetery, I wondered if Diana Gabaldon the author of ‘Outlander’ got any inspiration for Jamie Frasers character in her Novels about a time traveling romance between a handsome Scottish Highland Warrior, and an English Rose named Claire, thanks again Steve for another trip into the past bringing back wonderful memories of an era long gone, blessings from another rather jaded english rose 🥀
