Here is the full version of loch lomond. The men's choir did a beautiful job :)

Dude! I didn't even know that this was on youtube!! The CD they sent me in the mail after we did this performance got stuck in the CD player of my car...and then I sold that car... so enjoy listening random owner of a 91 honda civic hatchback!! P.S. Thanks for all of the rad comments you guys! I was really blessed to be able to be a part of this!!
Wow for like 30 seconds I was so impressed with how still they were all standing but then I realized it was a picture.
Solo was perfect. Very nice. I'll "tak" this to the bank
I sang this many times with my men's choir in highschool and just last weekend I had the joy of finally walking in the Scottish highlands near Edinburgh. (didn't make it quite to Loch Lomond but I will someday) And as the sun was shining, and the stream passed below me down the beautiful landscape, I listened to this video on my headphones as I walked, and I just wanted to let you know that your art was appreciated very much so. Cheers.
My favorite version of this song. I sang this a year ago at Ball State and it has been my favorite song we have sung to this day.
the soloist has a beautiful voice and it fits this song perfectly
This is blowing me away, literally. These are some talented men and obviously absorbed everything the conductor wanted to impart on their choir. The conductor must be amazing too. Wow, I am sooo impressed. It's like I heard this song for the first time all over again. Mad, mad props.
I keep coming back to this one. I like the way the conductor lets the basses sing. A rock solid bottom and you can feel the enthusiasm emotion.
Absolutely beautiful. Jonathan quick's arrangement is my favorite! I just love the driving march at the end!
Sang this song my freshman year of high school. still know every word. and it remains my favorite choir song of all time. this choir did a fantastic job. hands down the best one i've heard. Brings back some pretty great memories (: thank you for sharing :)
were singin this song this year for Nebraska All-state. im obsessed with it
This was my probably my twentieth time listening to this recording, but it was the first time in a while. The way that this choir sang this piece filled me up with so much joy and chills to the point where i shed some tears, and it’s a reminder on why im pursuing choral music ed. Great great work!
This is unbelievable. I can't stop listening to this.
This is absolutely beautiful, so beautiful, that I had to respell beautiful like 5 times for getting distracted
i can't stop listening to this. just inspiring.....
So beautiful. Thank you for sharing this.
hey were doing this song for all-state this year!!! I can't wait!!!
This is flawless!
Of all the recordings of this song, this is definitely among the best!
First heard this in my choir class and now i am obsessed... literally! :)
This is the Minnesota All-State Men's choir. Our director was Diane Loomer, the founder and director of Chor Leoni, a small men's choir, based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
how could you not like this?
this is the best one i found! i like it alot!
my last post was 40 minutes ago, and in that time i have learned the song, as well as to sing in a scotish accent.
I love this so much.
Wow. Brings me to tears almost!
Beautiful!
I listen to this everyday because it is so amazing. :)
I love their pronunciation of the text. Great, great job.
@joniniowa Loch Lomond--traditional, arr. by Jonathan Quick. This is the TTBB arrangement. It's also available for SATB.
that was just beautiful
This is my favourite performance of Loch Lomond. I also love the Jonathan Quick arrangement performed by the Irish choir Pfizerpfonics on KZread. Very fine Irish tenor soloists.
nothing beats this group right here
this is really, really good
absolutely exceptional
I so wanna go there!!
Kudos to the soloist! Great voice!!
outstanding performance.
this song is one of the best of scotish heritage, and it is also very emotional. but at the same time, it gives an insight into the enormous power of song.
Greatest arrangement ever
Oh my Lord, the basses in there, the basses!!
Yes! lol. I want me and my fellow men's choir to sing this song! It reminds me alot of Danny boy and Shenandoah. :)
@loydsheryl correct this is the 2008-2009 men's all state choir from Minnesota, performing at Orchestra Hall.
Well done !!! if you are ever looking for a full choral arrangement of this check out Alma College Choir in Alma MI. and get in touch with their director Dr. Will Nichols. it often gets done there at the annual concert during homecoming (college mascot is the Scots and yes there are pipers there too!)
You know your a choir nerd when you wake up singing this song and than the ferst thing you do is go on youtube to lisen to it.
This may never be matched.
oo this is the jonathan quick version. i love this version. especially the moving eigth notes in the 2nd verse. its tenors in this version but when we do it with our choir its altos (altos ftw) my choir does this version all the time. they took the "dais" at the end a little fast. theyre pushing like 150. im pretty sure the tempo marking is just a hair faster than 120. still arguably the best version on youtube though.
@Bravette2012 Traditional tune, arranged by Jonathan Quick
We song this in my choir only difference is we had soprano and altos for a nice even pitch and sound this is still amazing
I'll teck the high road and yeel teck the low road
@boarder9309 Joseph Biggalo did the first solo, I don't remember the name of the lad who did the second.
Wow, they are lucky to have a men's choir. They sound phenomenal. For which state is this all state for?
Me too!
what version was this one again? my fav version
That's me! lol! I was a bass in this choir!! Hehe

Marty Ranweiler currently working on this in my school. It’s so beautiful
The part at 3:50 sends chills down my spine.
same with me!
All State--which state? Above, someone said, "Minnesota for the win!" Is it MN?
yeah this one is the best one... better than most ...i think the others just had bad quality
This is not minnesota!! This is Oregon! I was a participant in the women's choir this year, and this was done by the men's choir that year. I even have the CD that I received after the recording was finished.
same place vocal essence did the whitacre concert, hence the falling cubes of doom
no , it's oregon. I was in the choir that year.
we did this song at GMEA allstate last year, i was a tenor 2. this version is definitely a lot faster than how we did it, and i dont really like this way. the singers were great but the song needs to be slower, especialy the "dai's" those were my favorite part of our concert, but here they just flew through them, i was disappointed
Well done ,sung just like a Scots choir would do it .Duncan.
@kaiserbunny132 Ah. Excuse me, I thought he or she was referring to the song itself.
you were in a mens chorus? its MN. cuz i was actually in the choir
Oh man if only they were from Wisconsin. Then they would sound like angels. : P
Do you know the name of the arrangement?
Minnesota.
this is the Jonathan Quick arr.
who sang the solo?
No no no, its like when people complain about people saying "he dead"! No, he died, now he dead! Therefore one can argue that there IS about 400 different composers in the same way that they are :) both states determine the pre-condition of existence, yet the neo-classicalists argue for the latter. A sad day for the english language.
I can feel me Scottish bones stirrin' in me body. Rest assured, I am part Scottish.
A great choral piece. I love Jonathan Quick's arrangement of Loch Lomond. See Pfizerpfonics version on youtube.
@ItsAFluteThing Hi Hannah.
@OldSlimey Pfizerpfonics is irish.
The only thing that could possibly make this better would be if they would be considerate enough to have a few more quiet spots where idiots could cough.
Amist I Bovvered?
If you want to hear 60,000 Scots signing this search for Scotland Football (soccer) half time Loch Lomond, just have some kleenix ready Here's one with 70,000 singing kzread.info/dash/bejne/rHiErtCLdt3Ippc.htmlm25s
@24gdizzle i bet the one person who dislikes this vid saw this comment and disliked it to make u wrong lol
its more beautiful if you know the story behind it
Yeah those tenor 1's better work!
@1carrigdhoubh Scottish
@PocketC00KIE Minnesota trumps Wisconsin when it comes to choir.
awsome song but the audience should stop with the coughing, it destroys the awsomeness of the song
and Michigan trumps all y'all!
