    I wouldn't, for me, the location is the thing that makes me want to live somewhere. It's truly the most important thing. I'd rather living in a one bed flat in exactly the spot I want than in a 3 bed house with garden that's a mile away.

    That's funny! I live in the States where this isn't a widely used phrase, but bc I hear it a lot on this show I've found myself using it here. The other one I've learned from Dragons Den UK is "it does what it says on the tin". I don't use that one very much but I do think it charming.

    Nice episode - just surprised there weren't more red brick terraces available in budget - but I guess there's not a huge window of opportunity when filming. Hope they'll all be very happy.

    Steph looks like the British actor Suranne Jones. In Canada, the real estate agent is not allowed to suggest a starting bid for a property. They can show you what other properties sold for in the area, but that's it. Thanks for the upload.

    @@ramochai no, most people get variable rate mortgages. Even worse, many mortgages are very short term (2-3 years), so the rates reset frequently!

    Why the heck does it take so long to close on a house in the UK? The girls won't get into their house in THREE months?!?!?! WHY? Obviously the U.S. does something differently. I closed on my house in less than ten days!

    I’ve seen where people buy houses in the USA and have to spend a fortune to repair things that would have shown up on building inspections in other parts of the world
