Liz Truss fights to save premiership after tax U-turn and Chancellor sacking

Ойын-сауық

The Prime Minister faces what could be an uphill task to persuade financial markets, Tory MPs and voters that she has what it takes to succeed, just 38 days since she entered Downing Street.
Liz Truss has insisted she will stay on as PM to see through her "mission" to get the economy growing.

Truss only have the skills of pretending, and being chef of words salads, and slowly the reality creeps in on her while looking around: No one is capable of saving her. The party’s solution will be to peck her behind closed doors until she leaves. Latest within Tuesday next week. Maybe in many ways it was best the Queen did not live to see the chaos now unfolding under new Prime Minister Liz Truss. She would have been so disappointed, dismayed and shocked that the country she served so well for 70 years seemingly fall to pieces. But I agree she had the misfortune in her last act of serving the country was to appoint a Prime Minister who in so short a time has made all previous Prime Ministers - Johnson, May, Cameron, Brown, Blair, Major, Thatcher, Callaghan, Wilson, Heath, Douglas-Home, MacMillan, Eden, Attlee, Churchill, Chamberlain, Baldwin, McDonald, Asquith, Lloyd George, Bonar Law, Disraeli, Gladstone, Walpole and the rest - look very good, if not great in comparison.

In all the drama with Kwasi being sacked it seems to have been forgoten that there was a far bigger story today, that seems to have been forgotten. During the week the Bank of England said they are going to stop buying bonds and proping up pensions. This would devastate the lives of millions of people. So what happened with that story today? I have been searching for the story but can't find it. Anyone know?

That's the next crisis waiting in the wings Rab. The absolute truth is there is no good solution now it is totally lost and we should just brace ourselves for the dire consequences to follow. The elite are already packing their bags and heading out for better climes leaving a hell hole full of illegal migrants for the pickings.
