The most amazing thing that i discovered in the last 10 years when i started to seek the truth about existence, is that all the enlightened people from different backgrounds, different religions, different epochs and millennia, at the core, are all talking about the same thing, that's the most astounding fact that i discovered, and yet no one can really teach you anything, it's all up to you.

This makes sense - if there is a need to make a decision, then there is resistance. When you are in the now and at peace, then life flows through you and you will do the things that need to be done in the moment. In other words, you are the instrument of the consciousness ❤

Either indecision or resistance or decision or just flowing. All of that is the whole. It doesn't matter. Just see that and laugh. Nothing can be out of this including the idea of fragmentation or of imperfection or perfection or becoming. So what if you're uncertain. That uncertainty is perfect. Your anxiousness is perfect. Your doing or not doing is perfect. Thinking you're the doer is perfect. Thinking your not being the doer is perfect. Not thinking is perfect, also thousands of unstoppable thoughts raging in you is perfect. Just see it all and laugh. No striving no becoming no I no mine no practices no gurus no people that 'know' no prostrations, hours of meditation, no systems. You can let go of it all and remember to laugh when you find yourself. Then from there start. Look at what you are without all that stuff. In a while you'll see you're only 'life happening' like plants growing or any group of animals, just in a more conciousness way and that none of it is 'you' again keep looking. The more you see what is operating, this will obliterate the individual and then all actions, reactions etc are perfect and do not bother you. That is true freedom. Give up trying to understand any guru, look at yourself only, understand yourself only.

If you are the instrument of the consciousness then what is this you, where does this you end, what is the gap between you and consciousness, what is it's substance made of, how is it measured, where does consciousness begin, how is consciousness measured? Or alternatively would one instead say you and consciousness are not two? The you described as an instrument is none other that consciousness operating at a different and connected dimension of reality to that as compared to absolute reality whereby only consciousness is and you are none other than that consciousness. Would one then question whether the former or alternative scenarios be of greater truth?

@@mistamatthias8786 To paraphrase you, “The more you see what is happening then this will obliterate the individual.. then all actions are perfect.” Sorry, but the “obliteration of the individual” is how to become a perfect vessel of numbness, immobility and essentially a, “Stone Buddha.” Hip. Hip hooray on your parasympathetic support for reptilian immobilization, metabolic shutdown state, even though you would naturally assert a deep misunderstanding on my part here. It is NOT the obliteration of the ego or self as popularly conceived, as that conceptualization or non-conceptualization (however, you frame it) is the penultimate egoistic stance!

@@noahmaillouxmusic when I realized I was struggling so much because I was trying to do so many things-- I was trying to listen to lectures, I was trying to do homework, I was trying to go to extracurricular activities, I was trying to eat healthy, etc I said to myself, "perhaps you are meeting resistance because you are trying to do things. Do absolutely nothing and let it all go and see what happens." I still remember that exact moment I thought this. It was in a politics class and I was fretting about a pop quiz that was going to happen next week and whether I could understand everything the lecturer was saying to be fully prepared for it. The moment I followed that thought, I stopped struggling. I wasn't trying to listen, I wasn't trying to get an A, I was just being but I understood what the lecture was about, I took notes effortlessly, I wasn't worried about the test, and I did all the assignments not because I forced myself to but because it just happened. I struggled with social anxiety at this time too. I kept thinking, "how should I dress? What will these people think of me? If I say this what will happen? I should appear a certain way to these people. How do I form deep connections? How can I make friends?" etc. But I applied this letting go method and I just chilled. Before I knew it I found myself in a deep conversation with a person I just met and we actually became very close friends. Even now, years later, I remind myself this philosophy whenever I agonize over decisions or life in general feels too overwhelming. I call it "unclentching" or "doing absolutely nothing."

It's not "how do I get to a decision-less state of mind." It's looking at your thoughts and feelings (body sensations) and realizing they come out of nowhere. You don't choose them. How would you choose a thought? By thinking of it and seeing how it makes you feel, no? Except you don't choose how it makes you feel, nor did you choose to even think of it in the first place. You just thought it, and felt something about it. Choice IS the illusion. It's not how to get there. It's to see that you never had it. And life has still been meaningful, incredibly so. There are still morals. Still rights and wrongs. Your conscience hasn't gone away. You learn (thank God). But even then, we don't consciously choose to rearrange our brain neurons such that "Aha, now I've LEARNED this." No, it just happens. You're living a story. There is no choice. The idea of choice is the ego, and probably even the devil, too - if we're playing with metaphors.

Decision means a choice between options. Clarity means to know what is a right thing. Then there is no choice, ergo no decision, you just do what you identified as the right thing. If another thing is also right, it doesn't matter, because you did a right thing. That's what matters!

The cause of the feeling to decide emerges from your presupposition that a situation has only one right respond and thus, you have to act on it. This is that creates the anxiety on deciding together with the desperate need for making decisions . In other words you can not let go, you want to control everything, through your mind’s conditioning.

All thought is conditioned by our past, and all decisions we make are based on our past experiences. So, all of our decisions are made by a conditioned and reactive mind which is not free of the past, but is a slave to it. True freedom in life requires that we disregard the mind, which is merely the product of the sum of our past experiences and the fears that result from them.

You might be interested in the idea of "non-doing". Beyond thoughts and emotions, which go along with them, there is intelligence which knows without knowing and acts without acting. This intelligence can be found by listening very closely. Its voice is extremely quite and almost completely obscured by the noise of thought and emotion. Nonetheless it is always there. Hearing it means action happens, without someone deciding or acting. Despite sounding esoteric this is very practical and available to everyone.

In my understanding one’s instincts are shaped, to a considerable extent, by past experience and this is where animals and humans cannot be equated so far as this discussion is concerned given the fact that an animal has quite a limited experience in its life as it is focused mostly on its physical survival and search for a mate to procreate, so its instincts are guided by these necessities- eat, sleep, chase-whatever it takes to stay alive. Humans can, if they choose to, have a totally different level of existence much beyond the confines of survival and procreation where they can have innumerable different experiences, like interacting socially or chasing goals or learning something, which will continuously shape their instincts to an advanced level making it trustworthy enough to be relied upon to take decisions regarding the course of their lives.

For example, I play online poker to earn my life, and at some level (probably only on the surface) i can see, what he is saying, because in order to have success on my "poker career" I need the exercise of will day in and day out, and I'm in total confusion because a lot of the time, I think what I'm doing doesn't make sense at all, but I don't know better, and this world always says to us "we need to be disciplined, we need will and so on ... " But now this awesome man appears , and says > will is destructive or something like that ... can you live without will ? And I'm not sure what to answer, but I think if I try, I'm not sure how I'm going to buy food or something.... :( I have been reading K for like 10 years (video and a lot of books) but is like a journey that I'm not sure where is taking to me.... is like think no matter what I do, I will arrive to the day of my death, without really understanding.... At some level, one part inside of me, really said to me ---> "what JK teach, has infinite value" but then one doesn't know what to do. I guess I will continue investigation until the day of my death. Making mistakes or good actions would mean there is a person deciding what is good and what is bad. But this idea can be observed as a thought form with which can be identified. Within this thought form there is a created positionality of a person and it's seeming decisions and how a 'person' feels depends on how that 'person' looks at any given situation or decision. But what of the seeming decisions that are made without having an opinion about it? That which decides itself. Is it good or bad?

Great world to be able to pick how, exactly.... I salut Mr. Murti for having taught me that very hard but valueable lesson. That said... the problem is not will. Is not desire. Life IS, after all, about sensual expierences. The problem is a will unaligned and opposed to what is divine, what is true and holy. That opposition will no longer do. For none of us.

When you know what's the correct action you don't decide, you just do it. Certainly you've also done this in the past. We all have done it more or less, we just didn't pay attention because our minds are occupied with something, almost every second of the day. To know like this only attention is required, not thought. Decision is the product of confusion. The illusion is that we are free to decide, but in reality we are just confused. Right action does not come from decision, because there is no alternative thought which conflicts with another thought, no dillema, no hesitation, no second option and trying to figure out what's best. I'm not a guru and I haven't at all figured out life😅 But at least intellectualy I can see what K points to, and with countless hours of contemplation and reflecting, I've seen that in the end even when I think I've decided something, that instant in reality I've just eliminated every other possibility and I never have enough data to consider or reconsider. Thus sometimes my doing is right and many times wrong or ineffective. But with clarity, there is no confusion, just seeing and acting in the right way. Now can we live completely in that way, which means thought does not interfere with bringing doubts, fear, regreting, ruminating, hypothesising, choosing etc..? As far as I can understand, thought is only necessary for practical things, aquiring knowledge and skills. Letting it meddle with our psychology, fear, confusion and disorder begins.

Everything is "outside". Thoughts are observed by you, they aren't you. Like "what am i gonna do" is a thought you have, but anything you think "what you could do" is already outside again, because it is all imagined/not happening in that moment etc.. People who believe "to keep something/know themselves or see themselves" just see an imagination they themselves created for themselves. What is seeing yourself? That's not possible. You can't look in other peoples head, you can just assume what they think or what moves them. Same for you, you imagine being "outside yourself" (for whatever personal reason), but this "outside" is imagined. In the end anybody does this, like people imagine they could be this or that, where they will be in some years etc.-this is also something imagined and appearing as being watched from outside. Do you understand? This feeling of being outside yourself is a normal feeling-that isn't your problem. Your problem could be that you fear when not doing this you lose control and can't defend, because when you observe instead of imagine, you really don't decide what happens. There we are at the beginning. When something happens, you will think about what you gonna do. That is inside. That is you. Feeling inside means not to believe your thoughts and emotions. The key is to observe. Like when you having a stressful moment and think "i can't do this now, i have no energy for this, i can't do it etc." then you just need to "think" what is actually happening. What really happens if you would watch yourself from outside is just seeing yourself be. You would not see your emotions or thoughts. Like others wouldn't. Everything that makes you feel stressed or feared is "believing your emotions or thoughts" or better "thinking an emotion or thought is physical and really happening". Like peanuts. People who have an allergy against it will think about a peanut butter sandwich like something dangerous. People without an allergy will think about it as something that eases their hunger. But the sandwich is in both scenarios only a sandwich when you observe it instead of your thoughts or emotions you have about it. It does not mean to give up all imagination. It just means knowing that people imagine things most of the time. Feeling inside is observing, like watching out a window. Not following thoughts and emotions. That isn't always easy, that is why we follow imaginations. On the other hand, if our thoughts and emotions scare or stress us, we should not follow them. We should look if they are just that, thoughts or emotions. The difference is, a real threat means thinking about options. Like fighting, freezing or imagine to be outside oneself. But thoughts and emotions are not real like the physical world. Like the sandwich example, thoughts and emotions don't describe what is. They describe what you believe that could be, and emotions are reactions to these beliefs. The way inside is accepting letting things be. You fear something happens...like you can't handle the stress. But how can this be? It hasn't happened yet. This means accepting. Accepting that you don't control what happens, or what you feel, or what you think. But knowing that you always decide if you follow the thought or emotion. Can a horror movie scare you when you do not follow your emotion or thoughts? If you tell yourself constantly it's just an emotion or thought/imagination, you will just be bored from the movie, because you know it's not real. If you follow your emotions and imagination, it will give you nightmares. But those aren't there, you created them in this example with the movie. So to get a sense of feeling inside you could just let emotions be and observe them without thinking further. Like a clock that makes tick tack. Every tick is a thought, every tack an emotion. You can't keep these tick tacks, the moment you are aware of them they are gone. You decide if you spend time thinking about them. When you do, you miss all other tick tacks while they happen. You decide. Being inside is let em pass. You don't get lost, there will come another tick, another tack. It's not that something magically happens or that thoughts and emotions will disappear. They don't. The solution is knowing they are tick tacks. They are there always. But like you decide to watch your clock on the wall, you decide how long you pay attention to a thought or emotion. Not paying attention does not mean they disappear, it just means you focus on something else. Neither the thought is gone, nor you. Time does neither disappear nor stop when you don't pay attention to the tick tacks.

@lars5288 hey i read all of this you wrote and wanted to say thank you for the brilliant metaphor of thoughts being equated to the tick-tock of a clock and how we all can choose what ticks and tocks to pay attention to and what to turn away from. And I just realized that this metaphor has a double meaning, considering one of the biggest social media platforms is named after this constant clicking of a “Tik-Tok” clock. It also is built upon quick and attention grabbing video clips of thoughts of others. Now we have the internal tick and tock of outside thoughts as well as others outside thoughts infiltrating social media. We are collectively witnessing the evolution of our collective thought patterns and they are revealing. Ive been meditating regularly for a few years now and am able to witness my own “thought chatter” which scrolls across the mind screen like a non stop stock market update of “this is good” “that was bad” “fear this next” “this might work if you don’t screw it up” etc…..they never stop, yet within the space of stopping physical motion to breathe and relax, the importance of these thoughts diminish just like a billboard might catch my attention at first, but after driving by it a hundred times it no longer has an effect. Thank you for sharing and much love and wisdom on your own journey of self discovery.

The stopping of the movement of thinking is the end of time. That is to say, fragmentation has nothing in common with undivided totality; they share nothing, they do not relate. When one looks at an animal or set of animals, is it a manifestation of the analytical, fragmenting mind, or is the undivided also there? The human being is a concept, a fragment, which is indissolubly linked to its external, non-human counterparts. The animal or set of animals does not exist, and when we say "does not exist" it means that they are not an independent, isolated entity. But in the illusion of the human being as a species, as an independent thing, the illusion of the animal as such is created. Only the fragment implies, necessarily, decision. When the mind sees that same fragment-decision association it is already opening itself to the holistic, to the undivided: a new order is generated, a totally new association, born of the continuous questioning (thus death and renewal) of the known. In other words: while there is fragmentation, decision, causality, there is no genesis, renewal; death is split from life, space-time reigns and suffering is a tonic. The will not to suffer is also suffering.
