Not too many years ago I would not have been satisfied with the power. Now, at 67, I think I would be perfectly satisfied.

Also 67 I purchased a T 100 in January 2019. Had it for a year and traded for a T 120 with 1,000 mi on it. I can do more with the bigger bike. Love them both.

Of all of your videos that I've watched, so far, this is my favorite bike. I bought my twenty something year old son a 2010 Bonnie about five years ago and, since he has it at his house now, I really miss it. This T100 would look great sitting in my driveway. (along with my VMAX1200, Victory King Pin, 2006 XLS Roadster 1200, and Guzzi California.) Love that blue color, too....

Thanks TMF, I've been watching your vids for a while now, well before you and Delboy did that Q&A video. (I'm looking forward to that bike swap-you on his Harley and he on your adventure bike:-)) I'll be swapping my Thunderbird Storm with the T120 but after much deliberation and research, I'm now leaning more towards the T100. I don't think I'll be missing the riding modes, since I've never had them and I could get heated grips later on. And now that TEC figured out where the restriction came from, swapping the cam would give you the same HP and torque number as the T120, for a lot cheaper. Thanks again for the reviews geared towards the day-to-day riding instead of focusing on specification numbers. Keep up the good work and keep flying that sweet little airplane of yours. I would love to fly a single engine in the UK, you guys have some wonderful and lovely little airfields all over the country side. On one of my layover one of these days, I'll do that, right after visiting the Ace Cafe, of course. Cheers.

Can't believe I only just found this channel, another good review, clear, informative, and honest. I hated the mirrors too btw, they would have to go. Watching you lane split reminded me how disappointed I was when I emigrated to Canada 30 years ago and realized you couldn't do it here, probably safer in the long run though, trying to weave in and out on my F6B might be tricky. Thanks again.

Great vid thanks, went a long way in my decision process on buying the T100 Black last year. I added Triumph cruise, bar end mirrors, heated grips, minimalist grab bar and centre stand to mine. 8000 kms last season and really no squawks other than some inconsistencies from the digital fuel gauge. The issue is sort of resolved now that I gas up while on the side stand to really top up the tank and that appears to reset the sensor correctly. I do wish the bike would have come with an analogue gauge instead but that it!

Very nice review. I owned a 1983 Suzuki GR650 which was a kind of tribute to Triump twins. Wonderful ride, very smooth through a great deal of the range, so well balanced that you could often keep ypur feet on the pegs at a stop sign. And, the flat tracker bodywork was nice looking, too. But, these Bonnevilles just seem like the ultimate and great bikes to own. Obviously.it's the real deal and a cut above those fun Suzukis. I'm sold. Great looking motorcycle, too.

Another great Vlog . Looking forward to the Street Triple review. Personally I think Triumph have served up an ace by giving a real world bike enthusiast a bike to review long termish. Those little (but significant) details like fuelling up and cleaning are so important to us everyday riders. Professional magazines journalists (who often get bikes to review a lot longer) never mention stuff like that and personally I think that's what potential buyers want and need to know. Don't get a new job too soon, I'm really enjoying all your extra video's. And yes I too give my bikes a hug now and again. Nothing wrong with man cave love in😀.

Got mine last month, the black version. I have to say i totally agree with your reviews, I even had the same reaction with the tank cap on my first stop to a fueling station, also the mirror issue is my no 1 problem with the bike, I did raise it with the dealer after a couple of test rides, he suggested the bar end ones, but he was not too enthusiastic about them :). I totally agree on the brakes as well. Anyways I am loving the bike for the moment although weather is not helping for longer rides I do enjoy small skirmishes on the occasional sunny days.

I agree with all your comments. Just did a test ride on one at the weekend. It looks like I’ll have a T100 bonnie in the garage very soon. I also had a test run on a T120. I think the T100 is the better balanced bike and looks more like the original bonnie. The T100 gearbox is silky smooth. I was really disappointed with the T120 by comparison. It is too heavy, has too many gears for such a torquey engine , and I suspect the crank shaft mass limits the pickup. The T100 by comparison is a way better all round design. That was a nice concise review and you were very pleasant to listen to. Very well done sir!

Another excellent, thorough, review, as usual. I did have an opportunity to sample the bike; however, my time with it was very brief. I find it a nice bit of nostalgia, with good detailing. On the other hand, it is underpowered, particularly when compared to machines such as the Street Triple. It will certainly appeal to the replica crowd. In my case, I was riding 50 HP bikes thirty (30) years ago; consequently, neither the T100 nor the T120 are my cup of tea. Obviously, this is just a personal sentiment. I hope Triumph remains profitable.

Yes completely understand where you're coming from - I think this bike will do very well for Triumph, with their profits up 90% last year I'm sure they'll remain profitable for a good while yet (especially if they keep knocking out bikes like this). Thanks for watching - TMF

A really nice review of this bike. It looks really lovely. I haven't been able to ride the T100 but I did ride the Street Twin. The street twin I found to be radically different from the street triple. The Twin felt very smooth, soft and relaxed. But it really didn't like to get ridden hard. The suspension was too soft, the brakes hard to control and for some reason it was quite hard to lean over after exceeding a certain threshold. It could be that the leaning in bit was related to these Phantom inspired tires. So much so that it actually scared me. So to me it felt like the polar opposite to the street triple. At least to me the streety seems to be more happy when ridden fairly hard, and just a bit inpatient when just cruising along. :)

  • @TheMissendenFlyer

Yes I'd agree that this is the opposite to the Street Triple, a completely different type of bike giving a completely different type of ride. The Street Twin and the T100 to me ride exactly the same....

I was seriously looking at the big brother to that one - the T120 (Black) - looked through all the reviews - checked out all the specs. - did all the comparisons to others of the same ilk - BUT didn't quite get around to having a test ride (a bit pricey AUD$19,000) - before getting myself a Triumph Bonneville America Cruiser (second hand). Love my bike - handles really well - and honestly - with my wife as pillion - I hardly notice the difference - she sits well on the back seat and enjoys the ride. Thanks TMF. Great review.

I love this review because the small practicalities really count! I wish I could keep my garage as neat and tidy as yours. Cleaning spoked wheels is never a problem I think. Just clean the rims and the hub and you find the spokes have become clean anyway. I wonder if you see chain drive as a negative spraying oil around the place? I know I like shaft drive bikes for their cleanliness and lack of maintenance but I'm not a high performance type. I confess I also like the direct feel of shaft drive bikes actually.

  • @TheMissendenFlyer

    @TheMissendenFlyer

    7 жыл бұрын

Thanks Brighton Dude - Yes there's no doubt a good shafting is better than cleaning a chain any time....that said, I tend to use dry lube on my chains and that very much limits "fling" so I don't get OCD alerts because of oil being thrown over the bike. You do need to keep on top of your chain(s) though and not having to worry about it on a shaft driven bike is a bit of a luxury I agree....

Thanks for the series of videos for this bike, as I've said before, I think it is so important to have a relatively honest and unbiased review and the real world practicality of ownership is great. One thing I am always very interested to hear about is how bikes fair against the lovely British weather, so I'd be keen for you to include this in your reviews - is the build quality good, which parts maybe prone/showing signs of rust, etc. Please, please, please, can you review the new Street Scrambler?

Yeah I reckon so John, the brakes aren't a million miles off, pads and braided hoses would possibly be enough. certainly wouldn't put me off having the bike, it is a lovely machine and very easy to live with (as I found out)....just a bummer to give it back!

Love that colour scheme, it suits the bike perfectly, for me the exhaust as heard through your clip sounds spot on as well, it seems to have a beautiful bass undertone that says "I mean business" without being all brash. Could the hard brakes be a result of the ABS interfering with the hydraulics? I've found on my car that pulling the ABS fuses out changes the braking characteristics dramatically, for the better I might add. Beautiful bike, straight forward revue, you've sold me. It's either a T100 or a street twin. Ray

+whorayful Hi Ray, yes the T100 does have a particularly pleasing note...in fact I recorded a video just on that (but am saving it back for a rainy day,)......the brakes are just a bit soft, I don't think it was abs related....thanks for watching and for stopping by - TMf

Many thanks for all the excellent reviews really helpful. The one question I have is I still see many comments about the T100 being underpowered. Although you don't really seem to agree, where would you say the T100 is most lacking in power. I am a reasonably lightweight rider about 70 kg and most riding is on country A or B roads - obviously this is not the bike to set land speed records (not what I am after) but I do want something that will be able to take an overtaking opportunity without needing to see miles ahead of straight road. many thanks and keep up the good work!!
