侬好 Jenny~i was just trying to look up for some lecturing videos ou youtube and somehow yours just poped up! lol. I've to say your video made me miss Shanghai a lot, esp.when i am in Sydney all by myself while my gf is doing distance learning in China and parents are waiting for the border to open to come n visit me (and also those delicious foods OMG....) . I also missed your voice in KFM981, every time i heard Kelly's voice (the powerbank, as she calls herself, not sure if you know her though :s ) it kinda reminded me of yours! Shanghai is hometown, but still I am more in favour of Aussie lifestyle, which is much less stressful! All the best with your life in Vic n looking to see more of your videos :D

Thanks for sharing your experience in living in Shanghai! I've traveled to Shanghai a few times and I loved it!! Obsessed with the food! Melbourne has such good food too

omg I loooooooved your Shanghai and STA vlogs! this brings me baack. I've always loved Shanghai as a tourist (I am Chinese European), would love to live there one day as an expat. If you ever go back pls do more vlogs (food + shopping + experiences + job hunting). I have also visited Melbourne when I was studying at USYD. You've got two amazing cities

How does the pay system work there? A fortnightly or monthly pay? Tax taken off the pay? Overtime, weekend, public holiday work penalty rate? Probably not as systematic as here.

jenn zhou i live with my mom sinc in melbourne a lot of days because of conorovirus we can't going back to china because lthough the lock down is finished but there are more cases in victoria but today is minus to 1 cases

hiya! i moreso interned whilst studying so I don't know the specifics about actually working there, but can talk about my intern experiences!

I haven't been to Shanghai since 2010 so I'm sure a lot has changed! I think I'm still most comfortable at home in Toronto :) I feel like Canada is pretty similar to Australia with the balance of city life and nature - hiking, camping, etc. - and the authentic international cuisines! We just have bad winters LOL. I live in the suburbs and drive everywhere, but I love it! Hope I can visit Melbourne one day!

oh definitely, I feel like even a year away you come back and so many things have changed or been replaced haha. yes I've heard canada and australia are quite similar! i'm sure we'd enjoy each other's cities haha, maybe not so much the cold in canada but everything else sounds nice hahah. and I hope you get to come melbourne! we can finally meet hehe

b4 the pandemic it was really hard to find anything to do out in sydney other than eat and go to the same club every friday. sorry but there are only so many times you can take a pic in front of the harbor bridge lol having a car is definitely a necessity out here

Yo, I have exactly the opposite experience from you. I was born in Shanghai and I’m currently studying in Melbourne. Feeling like Melbourne is a good place to live, almost five years living here hehe

i personally like jingan, changning and xujiahui area! can be a little more pricey but busy areas, great location, everything at your doorstep!

Mate you missed out on the weather part, not that I'm saying Shanghai weather is great, but goodness I am really not a big fan of the weather here in Melbourne, despite living here for 10+ years

haha yeah i think they both don't have the BEST weather but Shanghai humidity is INTENSE. and i find the winter's super cold there?? Melbourne is just crazy and windy like all the time...hahaha

Jenny J Zhou I personally found it feels a lot colder in most parts of China because the humidity. But again, Melbourne is coldddd as well. I’m thinking of moving up to Qld or Nsw when this is over! It was soooo windy yesterday! And today as well!
