Cedar park is very reasonable compared to Austin where I lived for over 60 years. So glad to finally leave Austin as CP is much nicer.

Are the people pretty nice and welcoming? We wouldn’t know anyone in the area so we want to make new friends lol

Yes! Austin is known as a very warm and welcoming place.

I have been in the CP area for over thirty years. CP use to be just another quiet burb of Austin. Then ten years ago, people found it and started leaving Austin and moving north. The schools here (Leander ISD) is the best in the central Texas area. CP now is very expensive to live in for what you get. But you are not in Austin and that is why folks have moved here. Austin is a homeless have, ruined by liberal policies.

It's not. The surrounding areas are less desirable in general. Moving to Austin does mean moving to Texas.
