I’m currently an exchange student here in tokyo and i admit there was a month i felt kinda depressed because i felt lonely (i can’t make friends here) but I’ve been feeling better now that i’ve become comfortable hanging out by myself alone enjoying my hobbies :). I love watching your videos and making a list of new places to visit in Tokyo. Random question can u be heard by others outside in karaoke? I want to try it out but i’m a bit embarrassed to be heard 😅

Thank you thank you i live alone and i am truly not lonely I just love doing my own thing and after being in a controlling relationship for decades where i was never allowed to be alone it is the best feeling ever. I do go out and do social things but i really love just being alone.

Absolutely and great vlog again! I really love your shopping going out doing fun stuff alone vlogs and I love Ikebukuro too. So this was the perfect vlog for 😊 I can’t wait to see the renovated Animate when I come to Tokyo next February. And your statement about onsen and karaoke is so true 💯

It's always a great day when you're off during the weekday and making about you. I was most impressed with your being able to sing Japanese songs(you have a nice singing voice).

I love Sylvanian Families so I also went to the store in Sunshine City when they opened it this summer (it was sooo crowded), the decorations/dioramas were so cute :)

YAAAY a solo shop and indulge day: my favourite Allison in Toyko style vid 💕 and you're definitely not the only one who has head games when thinking about wearing a named brand into their store! Although for boutiques and local/niche brands, I kind of feel like I'm bigging them up by being out and about with their wares! I stopped wearing brands at the age of 15 after finding out about nikes child labour practices, I only wear plain clothing.

It gets boring after a few decades.

I'm about to go on a solo trip to Japan (I leave tomorrow). I've been to Japan before with family but I am really looking forward to going by myself. Going alone allows me total freedom for my itinerary and will not need to compromise on anything. I do photography as a hobby and I will be up pretty late taking shots of downtown Tokyo illuminations, lit up autumn leaves at the temples, Tokyo bay fireworks, and many more.

Hi Allison, I agree about the fall/autumn period being a bit ‘weird’. The autumn here in England/UK seems to have been a bit rainier than the last couple of years and it’s only in the past week or two that it’s really ‘felt’ like autumn which is great as it’s my favourite season 🍂 the 3coin shop looked good, over the past couple of years some of the ‘Pound’ shops in the UK have definitely focused more on quality too. Thank you for sharing this fun day out and about in Tokyo, really enjoyed it. Best wishes to you 🙂

I really also enjoy going shopping by myself and singing karaoke. I got back from Japan 2 weeks ago after spending 9 days there. The first 4 days in Kyoto was lovely, then I got sick in the flu for the rest of the trip while I was in Tokyo. My friend that was travelling with me was so kind and helpfull and went to get breakfast every day for us. I hadnt been in Japan for over 8 years and now I feel like I have to go back soon again as I missed so much being sick there. I look forward every week for your videos. Loved the coat! Suits you so well! I had the chance to visit the Ikebukuro animate, it really is big. The thing is that I'm more of a figurine-collecting oriented otaku, and this animate barely had any, so while I was a little disappointed, I made up for it by getting lots of manga, a few trinkets and lots of Genshin Impact merch; again a gripe, why is there almost no Mona merch!? It should be a crime! Cheers!

I do understand being hesitant to wearing the brand of clothes to the store, but they probably take it as a compliment :D I only visited Sunshine City briefly during our trip last year and I want to go back so badly! I loved that area, it was so vibrant and had great stores and outside of Sunshine City had a great arcade with some gem pushers :) Great memories, thank you for the video!

this was entertaining cuz i've been to the same places in ikebukuro when i visited. wild. also yess that animate store was so cool! when i was there there was a big display for the blade/kafka update for honkai star rail. 6:33 jealous... i would've gone crazy with pics with them LOL love that anime also honestly the genshin perfume is worth it if you're an insane enough fan. i don't regret buying zhongli's xd

Thanks for the Animate Sunshine City update. I visited shortly after they opened, in March this year, and it was PACKED at 11:00 AM on a weekday. The checkout line snaked around 4 aisles. I’ll be in Tokyo again next month and I’ll give it another try!! Also I want to see Spy x Family Code White which comes out on 12/22. What is the first day you would recommend I try and see it after 12/22 and NOT be in long lines? 😊

The shopping culture in Japan is so strong and yet everyone lives in such small homes and apartments. Where do you end up putting all your stuff? I mean in America the Sylvanian Family would each get their own rooms but in Japan they might have to make do living in the back of a closet? They are super cute though. My guess is any man working at a women’s clothing store is of the GBTQ persuasion.

Your fit reminded me of Isabelle from animal crossing :)
