Very beautiful : you in kimono and whole video, actually. My only problem in Japan was: I had a million impressions and experience but no one around to share all that.People don't look at each other and don't talk to you, except Customer service.I was Alone also.Thank you very much.

As a Japanese person, I hate tattoos. It's just intimidating. Even if it expresses one's beliefs, others cannot understand it. I think there are other ways to express your beliefs. It may be welcomed by some young people who are easily swayed by trends, but I don't think it will be welcomed by people in positions of status.

Thanks for introducing all those great apps. My favourite app is Todaii Easy Japanese. It helps me enhance my reading skill a lot. Highly recommend it to anyone learning Japanese.

I have some advice for all foreigners. “When you enter the town, obey the town.” Please make an effort to thoroughly understand the Japanese language, Japanese laws, Japanese customs, and Japanese manners. Please come to Japan with the promise that you will not bring the ideas of your home country into Japan.

Hello Allison, your videos are super informative and great to watch. I’m trying to plan a trip however I have one obstacle I need clarifying, would you know if and what the Zika situation is in Japan. I’m reading mixed information. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you :)

Many Westerners try to immigrate to Japan without being able to speak Japanese and fail. It is impossible to adapt to Japanese society without speaking Japanese. If you don't master Japanese to the level of everyday conversation, you won't be able to join the local community or Japanese community, and you'll likely end up isolated or isolated in a group of foreigners. As a result, they find it difficult to stay in Japan and end up returning to their home country. That's why you need to think about immigrating with the determination to abide by Japanese rules and manners even more than Japanese people. Conversely, when Japanese people live overseas, it is important to use the local language and follow local rules.

Cute doggies! Glad to hear this one wasn't sketchy. I haven't gone to any as I never know how ethical they are with the dogs treatment. Why not a cat? Your space is plenty for a sweet cat. They're a bit more independent, and sleep for half the day. I may be biased though as a current cat owner😂 I still love dogs and grew up with one though so I understand!

Another thing about traveling Japan... I notice a lot of travels go everywhere, all at once, in a span of a week or 2... Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, Hiroshima, Sapporo, etc. I always found this odd... Like, you are going there for vacation, for something new and relaxing and fun, and instead you will be racing to catch this train and that train; it will be crowded and difficult, and probably hot because you chose JULY to go! Why not a week or 2 weeks in Tokyo only? And then next trip/next time visit Osaka, Kyoto, Nara? And then third trip, 3 years later, take a train from Tokyo to Hiroshima, then back to Tokyo for flight? This seems the better option to me. I could not imagine trying to do many cities in one go like I read about in travel blogs, unless it's like Osaka to Kyoto. My dream trip is Tokyo one year for 1 week. Save a few years, and 5 years later go to Osaka, Kyoto, Nara by train for 2 weeks. Then another 5 years go to either Hiroshima or Fukuoka for 1 week, by train. And then MAYBE Sapporo, on a completely different other trip.
