hello, I am a young guy who loves fighting and almost 2 years ago, they had discovered that I had a cyst in my liver. however the doctors said that they cannot determine what type of cyst it is because of how small it is. My parents told me to stop fighting in order to avoid getting hit in he liver. I don’t know what to do, any suggestions ?

Hi friend. I am not a doctor but I have been practicing combat martial arts for 30+ years and I do have cysts in my liver. I would suggest to continue your training and maybe do some sparring but I would avoid competitive fighting as it could be dangerous not only for the liver but also for your health, an accidental fist or kick non controlled to the wrong place can put you in a wheel chair for the rest of your life. Also if you are lucky and reach your 40s with minor injuries they will affect your life in many ways for the rest of your life. I would suggest to find a martial art that is more structured, with less fighting and more discipline. Leave the fighting to the less intelligent people who don't know what else to do. Take care, God Bless and listen to the ones who love you like your parents.
