I always hated liver growing up, it tastes like you're chewing multi vitamins. YUK! Then I had liver that had never been frozen: WOW! Totally different animal altogether. Now I can't get enough fresh liver. You got me started Hilda, so thanks!

I made your recipe: liver + onions and that amazing sauce, today!! It was absolutely delicious!!! Thank you so much! I used to just cut liver into pieces, flour them and season, and put in pan with some tallow...and also onions & squeeze of lemon juice over top once done, ready to eat. That was boring compared to this.!! It was so delicious - I'd like to eat liver every day now. thank you! x

I like the balsamic vinegar idea. But i would choose bacon grease to saute in. Add some mushrooms and cook the liver to medium. That harsh liver taste comes from overcooking.

Walmart sells liver. I just had some with onions/bacon, soaked first in raw milk. Was pretty good.

I've been trying to find ways to eat liver for years, ever since I found the weston a price foundation in 2012. I have found adding it at 10-20% into ground beef has been wonderful, a hint of liver without being overwhelming. But I've been wanting to do something more. When I saw this video i got SO excited! I knew it would be amazing! I bought some frozen calf liver from the butcher in town and today finally got to make it. Even though this particular purchase ended up having a very strong barnyard smell and taste, it was still edible and delicious with the caramelized onions. Hopefully my next purchase of calf liver will be normal (I've never had this with liver before) and now I'm looking forward to my next cooking of it. I still have three pieces from this purchase, hopefully soaking it before hand will help soften the barnyard flavor, but if not, i still look forward to the next time!!! 💕

I always loved liver. Sometimes I eat a piece raw liver with some salt. Tastes excellently. In Japan I fiscovered, that they even eat raw kidneys. But there was no taste actually. Liver should be cooked always shortly in order to stay soft. For me even some blood is no problem. Best made with any shortly non-cooked vegetables where liver gives a taste. Is my English right?

How important is it to eat certified organic liver. Because the liver is a detoxification organ wouldn't non organic be a bit risky to eat?

I used to at least eat liver paté. Then I bought liver for the first time with the intention of frying it up and making it a part of my diet. I can't even stand the smell after that disaster lol. Need some advice on how to ease into it again

I think broccoli, liver and other foods have a bad reputation because people don't know how to properly cook them. My husband hated certain foods the way his mother prepared them; yet felt differently when I served the same dishes.
